Was cooking dinner in my well-worn and patina’d Thursday Presidents in tobacco R&R when I spilled a mess of grease & oil onto the toe of my left boot. Immediate gut reaction was to try to rub it off with warm water, which didn’t work obviously. Spent next few days properly cleaning, brushing, and massaging the leather to redistribute the oils that had soaked into the boots. Stains seem more like natural patina to me now. How’d I do?
