How are we all doing today?

if you practice peds in the US, hope you’re hanging in there ok. get news out of the White House, we don’t have to inject kids with soda bottles worth of vaccines anymore, we can separate them into 3 vaccines that don’t exist.

also I had my first vit K Refusal in a long time along with the uptick in ppl refusing vaccines and it’s just fantastic.

Lee Cronins The Mummy

yall I enjoyed this movie. yea it had some cheesy lines. but I was creeped out, grossed out and there were some jump scares. I enjoyed it and would recommend it for a good silly horror night.

Jimothy vs Jimothy

how do we think Jimothy, the hospital/insurance executive would feel about Jimothy the raccoon? and how would united healthcare monetize this situation?

Returning for vaca :)

hey yall. my family and I will be renting a house in CB for the next week. I am a UNCW grad…. from 2008. while we have come back a few times here and there, it’s been several years since we’ve been to Wilmy, and. few things have change:

  1. I have kids, but they are now elementary school aged so we can go to nicer restaurants and later events

  2. I am not a poor college student any more, so I can actually afford to do things! woohoo.

there will be 5 adults and 2 kids.

looking for restaurants and things to do. and what ever rain dance I need to do to keep it sunny next week.

There are bumblebees in my garden, and their fuzzy butts make me happy.

I have a small veggie garden, and there are bumblebees flitting around my cucumber plants. and I’m just so happy.

if bumblebees make you happy, check out r/beebutts

Homemade nutella

not sure if this is the best sub…. my kid asked for Nutella … i know there is palm oil in it, tho per their website they use sustainably sources oil… but who knows what that means….

ANYWAYS. is homemade Nutella worth it or should I just buy it at the store.

Cinnamon rolls

They are not pretty. but they taste great.

I consider myself a pretty good cook for a mom of 2 physician. but baking has been the bane of my existence… I think because I would always use measuring cups and nothing would turn out right with baking (cooking is fun because measurements aren’t real). but since weighing my ingredients and relying on my trusty kitchen aid… I’ve finally been having some success!!

if you’re like me and had given up - don’t! you can be a baker still! 🍞

Movie from 90s or earlier.

I have looked and looked with no success.

i saw this movie before I was 6(1992) on TV. it was about a family that was going hiking in the woods. Their neighbor made them some homemade apple sauce in a Tupperware container that they took with them. later they end up eating it and getting food poisoning. they then wander around the woods sick and I think eventually get saved … maybe a helicopter comes??

hoping someone has some idea of what the heck this movie is.

Carbon steel help

hope it’s ok to post here

i have a carbon steel pan that had a beautiful seasoned layer and is wonderfully non stick. My husband left a cream based sauce in it over night and since then it’s been flaking off. Do I need to scrub it down and re-season it?

it’s still non stick, but black specks Are in the food

thanks
