New man meeting kids

I posted here a while ago sharing how my (now ex) partner of 12 years had told me she’d met someone else and after a series of events which culminated in police involvement kicked me out of my house. I take full responsibility for my actions over that period of time and things have settled somewhat. I’m sober and have been seeing the kids.

That was 8 weeks ago. She’s gone away for 4 days and I have the kids. My concern now is she has raised in around about way the possibility of this new guy meeting the kids. He was in our house pretty much the same day I was arrested and has been regularly going over whilst the kids are asleep. Setting aside the fact my kids (3 and 5) are still confused about why im not at home and wake up sometimes in the night - 8 weeks seems a very short amount of time to be discussing this. It’s still all so raw. I obviously don’t like this guy but I’m trying to be pragmatic about things and im worried my feelings might be clouding my judgment. I’m on bail till October and so haven’t been near the house but this isn’t okay right? Or am I being emotional about it.

New single dad

So, about 5 weeks ago the mother of my two kids (5&3) told me she had met and kissed someone else. A guy at her work who I’d heard her mention a lot, We’d pretty unhappy for a while but together for 12 years and I thought in the back of my mind we’d sort things out at some point.

I spiralled quite a bit following this and ended up in trouble with the police (nothing physical occurred, I just had a bit of a breakdown of sorts after leaving the house and going on a bender for two days). Suffice to say im now on bail till October and we can only communicate through my mum. She’s been letting me see the kids but is being extremely brutal and cold.

I don’t excuse my behaviour and am aware of what I did wrong. I have been sober since then bar one wobble a few weeks ago. My concern is that she has admitted that this new man has been coming around our house me they’ve been sleeping together, this has been occurring whilst the kids are asleep. I have a real issue with this as our two kids wake frequently and are already struggling massively with me not being at home. My 5 year old son in is very distraught still. I know there’s nothing I can do about this but has anyone gone through similar? I’m struggling to eat or sleep currently and my mind is im the pits.

Newly single Dad

Feeling really concerned about my mental state. My partner of 12 years recently told me she had met someone. I took it very badly and became admittedly a little manic and got in trouble with the police twice. Our relationship had been bad for years but this was still a huge shock to me. She had promised this man wouldnt enter our house but when collecting my passport (agreed by her) a few days after leaving custody I found condoms on our bed. Ive now had our neighbour message and ask why there’s a random guy knocking on the door most nights. Luckily im still seeing the children every few days though she has decided she wants to take them away for a few weeks with a few of our old friendship group,

I’m obviously very upset about our relationship ending like this, it’s become toxic to the point im seeking mediation. However my deeper concern is the rate it sounds as though this man is coming over. The children haven’t mentioned anything about him but it’s been only a month since I left and they are both prone to waking up in the night. My son is 5 and is very low and quiet at the moment. Am I right to be kept awake at night worrying about all this and feeling my ex isn’t treating me with respect? Or do I sound obsessive or weird?

New single dad

Mum left me after 12 years and two kids together after she told me she met someone else. I’ve been arrested twice and am now unable to go near the house. She’s been having the new man in our bed and around the kids. I’m unemployed, broke and really close to the edge. My 5 year old boy can’t speak to me anymore because he’s so distraught. Does anyone come back from this? The pain is agony

Rock bottom

Well it happened. My partner of 12 years and mother of my children threw me out and told me she has met someone else. Given my cocaine and alcohol addiction this is understandable.

I reacted by going on a bender and having a breakdown of sorts at our house and being arrested. I’ve just come out of the cells. Change starts here.

Leinster perspective

First off I’m a Munster fan so no major skin in the game. That being said I cannot comprehend the b******s it must take to have the get up and go and mentality to keep getting to these finals. I can’t think of another team who have consistently been dealt heartbreak (la Rochelle games in particular were brutal) and bounced right back and put themselves in the position to win the cup again. Maybe Claremont of the mid naughties?

I’m not for a second suggesting losing these games js ideal but I also wouldn’t discount the insane drive and resilience Leinster show. For me they need to clean house coaching wise now, I think they’ve been hamstrung by a polar opposite of playing style to Ireland. I, like many I assume, thought after Ireland played themselves into devastating form throughout the six nations that Leinster would hit the ground running. They have been up and down over the last few months.

There are obviously other issues (fly half, scrum etc). Well beaten today but it takes guts to keep getting to the point beneath the peak and going again. I’d be proud if I were a Leinster fan

New glitch?

So the weird camera focusing on player in the centre circle one is gone. However now the opposition kick the ball out for a throw every single time from kick off. Watching the PSG keeper do it last night as a tactic makes it at least slightly more believable.

I want to walk from Bristol to the lizard over the summer. I walk around 10k a day but often exceed this on weekends.

I’m planning to bring a pop up tent and minimal clothing. Also stop in bnb’s or cheap accommodation once a week.

I’ve never undertaken anything like this before. Does it seem crazy? Is it doable? Any advice is welcome.
