A little crossover from a miniature crochet artist – I made a book-style case for a Tarot deck ✨📚✨

Hello! 👋

As someone who spends most of her time crocheting tiny toys and miniature worlds, I’ve been wanting to create something special for my mom's tarot cards for a while.

I wanted it to look and feel like an old spellbook or grimoire. It has a super tight stitch so it keeps its shape, no sewing required except for attaching the charms and button.

I'm so happy with how this experiment turned out, thought I'd share it here! 🥰

Leafing through my cozy crochet ideas 🌿

Right now it's a mini house for this little doll, but imagine sizing it up! A larger version would look amazing hanging on your bag to store your keys, earphones or lip balm. Cute organization is the best organization 🌸

My design went viral years ago, got copied everywhere, but I still love it 🍄

Fun fact about this little hanging mushroom house: it was one of my very first dollhouse designs! Back then, it went absolutely viral. Since then, I’ve seen other crafters turn these mushrooms into lip balm holders or car charms, and now they’re even mass-produced on Chinese shopping websites. Honestly, imitation is the highest form of flattery, right? 🙈

But the original crochet pattern with this exact pocket gnome is still mine!

Also, a sweet behind-the-scenes detail: my daughter helped me film this video! She is obsessed with my tiny worlds and their little residents, so having her as my assistant made it extra special.

Just wanted to share a piece of my crochet history with you all. What do you think?

Cute jellyfish free crochet pattern 🌊

I'm excited to remind you of this delightful FREE crochet jellyfish pattern! It’s incredibly easy to follow and requires no sewing. With this pattern you can create charming jellyfish perfect for the summertime projects/nautical nurseries/craft markets, etc. or spooky ghosts ideal for Halloween. Simply choose the yarn you like best and let your creativity guide you! 🧶:🪼/👻

Size 1 (blue jellyfish): head 6x9 cm

Height with tentacles: 20 cm

Yarn: Alize Softy in 2 strands

Hook: 5.0 mm

Size 2 (green jellyfish): head 4.5x6 cm

Height with tentacles: 15 cm

Yarn: Alize Softy in 1 strand

Hook: 3.5 m

I crochet jellys inner side out. Make magic circle or sc 2, put hook into 1-st ch.

  1. Sc 6

  2. Inc 6 (12)

  3. [Inc, sc] x 6 (18)

  4. [Inc, sc 5] x 3 (21)

5-8. Sc in each stitch of row (21)

  1. [Inc, sc 6] x 3 (24)

  2. [Inc, sc 2] x 8 (32)

Tentacles: wrap yarn around cardboard (I use cardboard from pantyhose packaging 😜 Longer side - for bigger jellyfish and shorter side - for smaller one). I wrapped yarn about 24 times for tentacles of big jelly, 12 times for small jelly. Cut and put hook into stitches in random places of jelly insides, make loop and pull out strand through it (same as we make doll's hair usually). Sew eyes, mouth and decoration. Add loop for hanging in the center if needed.

Yes, I know Jane Austen didn't write about dragons 😄 But look how adorable these buttons look on this crochet book case! They just fit the vibe perfectly, so I couldn't resist.
