You can always find reasons not to support the CJP-led youth protest. Maybe your principal won't allow it—that's understandable. But then why not support other peaceful protests?
The same lack of attention has happened with other movements, including:
- Youth-Led "Cockroach Movement" (Education & Exam Reforms)
- Farmer Trade Deal Strikes
- Bundelkhand Tribal Defiance
- Shivalik Environmental Protests
- Nationwide Fuel Pushback
...and many more protests that received little or no mainstream media coverage.
In my opinion, many people don't because they blindly follow political narratives instead of thinking for themselves. They aren't concerned about the country as much as they are about protecting those in power from being held accountable. To me, that's a failure.
No one comes above my country.
If you think a protest is being conducted the wrong way, then organize one your way. Who is stopping you? But at least show support for the cause. You don't need to belong to any political party to support a peaceful protest. That should be a citizen's duty.
No one is born a fighter. It is their actions that earn them that title. And being a fighter doesn't mean using violence—it means standing up peacefully for what you believe is right.
I think many young people can relate to this. In a democracy, those in power should respect the people's voice, not make people afraid to speak.
Regarding the youth-led CJP protest, there are many videos and posts available online. If you only consume content supporting one political side, you'll only see one version of events. In my opinion, the government used several tactics to discredit the protest, including:
- Trying to portray it through a religious lens using IT cells.
- Making permissions difficult or denying them.
- Deploying plainclothes police who could blend into the crowd and influence events.
- Blocking metro station exits and parking areas.
- Parking vans allegedly loaded with stones and placing damaged vehicles near the protest site.
- Restricting large crowds to small spaces, increasing the chances of barricades being broken.
- Delhi Police taking wrong actions that, in my view, weakened or disrupted the protest.
- Much of the mainstream media portraying the protest negatively.
There may be more. I could also be wrong on some of these points—these are my personal observations based on the information I have seen.

Got an SMS from HDFC today saying I've received a ₹750 voucher for using my debit card. The SMS contains a promo code and a link that redirects to a GyFTR reward page.
The code is correct, I'm opening the link directly from the SMS, and I'm entering the same mobile number that's registered with my HDFC account. Still, every time I hit submit, it shows "Incorrect Promotion Details".
I checked SmartBuy and the offer is showing there with validity from 1 June to 30 June, so it doesn't look expired.
Has anyone faced this before? Is this a GyFTR issue, an HDFC issue, or am I missing something obvious?
Would appreciate any suggestions before I spend time calling customer care.
