Looking for Vocalists & Musicians with Songs & Projects Ready to Bring to Life

Hey everyone!

I’ve recently created a Discord community for producers, vocalists and instrumentalists who want to actually collaborate, develop ideas and finish music together.

We already have quite a few producers in the community who are looking to work with other musicians, but we’re currently missing more vocalists and artists with their own songs or project ideas.

The idea is to keep things organized instead of having everything scattered across DMs:

• Artists and producers can propose their own projects
• Other members can react if they’re interested
• You can look for specific things you need, like vocals, drums, mixing, production, etc.
• People can offer their own skills through the community
• Once a project gets enough interest, we create a private space for the people involved to work on it

I’m not trying to build a huge random server. I’m looking for people who genuinely want to collaborate and contribute, whether you’re experienced or still developing your music.

So if you’re a vocalist, artist, songwriter, or someone with a song/project sitting in your head (or on your hard drive) that you’d like to actually develop with other people, I’d love to hear from you.

Tell me a little about what you make, your influences and what you’re looking for, and I can send you the invite!

Looking for producers, vocalists & musicians willing to bet on something big

Hey everyone!

I’m a music producer and I’ve been working on something I’ve wanted to build for a while.

I created a Discord community called The Sound Society for producers, vocalists and instrumentalists who want to meet people, collaborate and actually turn ideas into finished songs.

The main reason I created it is because I’ve noticed how easy it is for music projects to get lost in DMs. Someone has an idea, someone needs a vocalist, someone else makes beats, people talk for a while… and then nothing happens.

I wanted to create something more organized.

The idea is pretty simple:

• People can propose their own projects
• Other members can show interest
• You can look for specific things you need for a project
• Members can offer their skills
• Once a project gets enough interest, the people involved get a private space to actually work on it
• The goal is to finish songs, not just collect ideas

It’s a selected community, so I’m not trying to get hundreds of random people into one server. I’m looking for producers, vocalists and instrumentalists who are genuinely interested in collaborating and being part of something from the beginning.

If you’re someone who has projects sitting unfinished, wants to meet other musicians, or simply wants a more organized way to collaborate, feel free to comment or DM me.

Tell me what you make, what genres you’re into and what you’re looking for. I’d love to hear from you.

And if you think this idea is stupid, feel free to tell me that too lol. I’m genuinely interested in hearing what people think.

Looking for a producer/creative partner to build something big with

Hey! I’m a young producer and songwriter, and I’m looking for another producer who wants to join me in building a team around music.

I’m looking for someone I can genuinely rely on creatively, someone to send ideas to, get a second opinion from, work through projects with and push each other to make better music.

The idea is to have two producers with different strengths working together. We could develop our own projects, jump into each other’s sessions, divide the work when it makes sense and, most importantly, be able to take on more and bigger collaborations than either of us could alone.

I’m already working on different projects and connecting with artists, so I’d also love to bring you into opportunities when I find something that fits you. If I come across an artist, project or idea that I think you’d be great for, I want you involved. And obviously, I’d want the same relationship in the other direction.

Over time, I’d love for this to become more than just two producers collaborating. A proper team, a recognizable sound, maybe even our own collective or brand. Something we can actually build and be proud of.

My main styles are pop, alt-pop, electronic pop and indie, but I’m much more interested in someone who brings something different to the table than someone who sounds exactly like me.

And beyond the music, I’d genuinely like to find a friend too. Someone I can talk music with, send random ideas to, laugh at terrible demos with, share opportunities with and actually enjoy working alongside.

I’m not looking for the biggest portfolio. Taste, creativity, ambition, reliability and personality matter way more.

If you’re a producer and this sounds like something you’d want to build too, DM me with some of your work. Let’s see where it goes.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I’m not looking for someone to treat this like a full-time professional job or to be available 24/7. I’m looking for someone who wants to build a team together, help each other out when needed, share projects and opportunities, and see where we can take it.

What’s the easiest way to transfer files between a PC and a phone?

I’m a music producer and I’m constantly moving audio files, recordings, demos, etc. between my computer and my phone.

At the moment I usually send files to myself through WhatsApp or Gmail, but it feels pretty inefficient when I’m doing it multiple times a day.

I’m looking for some kind of software or app that makes this much easier and works with both iOS and Android.

Ideally, I’d also like something that can transfer files directly without relying on the internet, if that’s possible.

What software do you guys use for this? I’m mainly looking for something simple and reliable rather than a complicated setup.

Update:

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I got quite a few different solutions, and these seem to be the main ones people recommended:

Syncthing — seems to be one of the most popular options. People mentioned using it for automatic syncing as well as transferring large files locally. Apparently it can be very fast over the same network.

LocalSend — simple local file transfers between devices. Seems like a good option if you just want to quickly send files without setting up anything complicated. This was probably the most frequently recommended option.

Blip — another simple file transfer option that people recommended.

KDE Connect — another popular solution, although my setup is Windows + iPhone, so I need to look into how well it works for that combination.

PairDrop — also suggested as a simple browser-based option.

NAS + SMB/CIFS + WireGuard — one person suggested setting up a proper NAS as a central place for all my files, with VPN access when away from home. This is definitely more advanced, but honestly sounds really interesting for music production.

FTP server — someone mentioned running an FTP server on their phone and accessing it directly over the local network.

A lot of people also suggested just using USB, which would obviously be the simplest solution in theory. The problem is that I’m using Windows + iPhone, and wired file transfers with iOS are surprisingly frustrating. I’d rather not have to deal with iTunes/Finder-style workflows just to move a few audio files back and forth, especially when I’m doing it constantly as a music producer. I’m basically looking for something that feels more like AirDrop, but works properly with Windows + iPhone.

There were also suggestions like Google Drive and Dropbox, but I was hoping for something quicker and more seamless for frequent transfers, rather than having to upload files to the cloud every time.

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to suggest something! I’ve got quite a few things to try now.

[START] Looking for vocalists and artists to start a project or a collab

Heyy! I'm 17 and I'm a producer and songwriter. I'm looking for vocalists and artists who wanna start a project together and actually stick with it.

I've been making music for quite a while. I started taking drum lessons when I was 3, my dad taught me piano when I was 5, and about 3 years ago I got a guitar and started learning by myself. I've also been taking music production classes for around 4 years, and I've already worked with a few different artists and on some collaborations.

Right now, I'm mainly looking for dedication, not professionalism. You don't have to be an amazing singer or have tons of experience. I'd rather work with someone who's motivated, has ideas and genuinely enjoys making music.

The idea would be to build a project together, make several songs, experiment with different sounds and styles and, most importantly, grow as artists while having fun creating.

I mainly make pop, indie, alternative and electronic music, but I'm open to pretty much anything if the idea is good.

I've got quite a few ideas and songs in progress, and I'm waiting until I have a few solid projects before I start releasing my own music. So I think this could be a really good time to start something from scratch and build it together.
