You get your preferred power but…

Whatever power or power set you want from an existing character is yours. You can attain it at any level that character has shown it from weakest to strongest as you like. This can be something as simple as super strength or the full powers of the Hulk.

The catch is you will meet that character and need to contest them to keep the power in some way. If you gain Hulk’s powers you may need to beat him personally in a fight to keep them. If you lose the powers go away forever. Not all characters need ti be fought. You can beat them at a game or puzzle or simply convince them you should have it. As long as they agree you deserve it or concede the contest you win.

What are you getting, who is it from and how do you keep it? For the sake of some fairness you are given a full hour to test out the abilities so you aren’t completely out of sorts.

Help with moisture levels and enclosure items.

Hello! I made a post some time ago about a fogger issue. Just wanted to start by thanking everyone for their help and advice. The crab is doing better.

I took advice that some people had about the substrate. Tl;dr bought the kit from PetCo/Smart and the substrate was terrible as was a few other items included in the kit, as others pointed out. I just emptied and refilled with the recommended play sand/eco earth substrate many told me. Made sure to do 5/1 ratio and checked to make sure it wasn’t moist as well as the consistency was as many guides described.

Currently still having an issue with keeping moisture. Just checked it and currently around 60%. Iirc someone told me that under no circumstances should I nor would I need to with a properly sealed tank spray with water. Currently I just have pieces of plastic wrap covering. Even checking the sides and weighing it down slightly its clear this won’t cut it. Some recommended silicon or glass covers to seal. I was just wondering is there a place I can get one as is or do I need to like make it myself? And if so do you have any recommendations as to where to go or what works best for you.

Also wanted some possible ideas for enclosure items. There’s a tree that it likes that also provides a cave and also I just bought a halved coconut like thing for another hideaway. I have some leaf litter I placed around. I used some sphagnum(?) moss but it felt like it might be more harm than good for it and was also getting into food and both water dishes. Is it safe or should I use something else? Are there any plants I can place inside that are good for them? Anything I should avoid that isn’t obvious? I have two PetCo/Smart places nearby, one of which seems to specialize in aquarium items.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Pick an object currently in your home. Next comment creates a power associated.

A strange accident caused you to be charged with mutagenic properties. Upon touching or connecting with an object within your home it caused you to forever be changed. Based on the properties of said thing you gained some powers associated with it. Whether significant or minor something has been gained altering the course of your life.

Objects can be simple or complex. Such as touching the ground your home sits on can either give you earth based powers or the ability to understand anything you touch down to the elemental make up or history of said thing. A a door can let you manifest a door you can manipulate for purposes of flight, defense or whatever else you can imagine. Or you can create doors on any surface allowing you to enter through it or even go to other planes of existence. A cereal box allows you to conjure the specific ingredients of the food at will or even has to do with the mascots on said box.

Edit: Multiple interpretations are encouraged. If you see someone else made a suggestion but you have a different one feel free to add yours as well.

(Convergence) Can’t exchange starlight shards for puppets.

Got up to the point where I could give the potion to Dungeater and was able to trade for one of the puppets. Waited a few days, did some stuff then came back. I could purchase puppets but the game thought I only had a single shard despite having at least 5, only one being registered. Decided to purchase more from Sellen, made sure to puck them off the ground and saw 10 in my inventory and 4 in chest. Game still only recognizes one.

Are the ones you can but different from those you pick up? Are only the ones you pick up in world the only valid ones?

(Convergence) Are there missing boss weapons that are in the vanilla game?

I've been trying to grind my way to killing Meytr so I can get the Staff of the Great Beyond. I finally got through it but its not listed in Enia's list. I have a minimal amount of main bosses beaten that drop souls but I do have Godrick's and both of his weapons, axe and fist, are listed here.

Am I missing something? Do I need to like consume the rune to get it? Or am I supposed to go elsewhere for it? Complete a questline? Maybe it just hasn't been added to the game currently?

What other niche vocations like Trickster do you think could work?

I guess what I mean by niche is vocations that either don’t do direct damage or work by killing enemies in unique and weird ways compared to other classes.

Thinking of other games could have like a clown. Its a CC tank class designed similar to trickster in that it draws away attention. Maybe has skills like throwing pies in faces to blind but also aggravate enemies into attacking you. Whoopee cushions to make enemies embarrassed like they made a fart. Party poppers to blind enemies. Maybe some slap stick routine making an enemy think another attacked them. Other weird stuff like that. Gadabouts from DQ, I believe is a better name.

Could be like a merchant. Does damage based on how much money you sacrifice. Could also maybe end fights ‘peacefully’ via negotiations spending cash. Could also ask monsters to drop their rare parts. Maybe even summon some mercenaries to attack like in FF with one summon.

Could also have a bard. Sends enemies to sleep with song, rouses allies with songs to boost attacks or temporarily keep them from falling. Could damage by sending out harsh notes and blasting a trumpet or something directly into their ears.

Create a power based on the last media property you consumed and the medium.

Power related to the media whether directly or based on name, concept or idea. Can be an existing power tweaked but has to relate to the property in some way.

Next is the form or medium you consumed said thing. A video game is a touch based power. Film/tv is visual. If you ate a branded thing it can be taste. Music is sound.

An example would be you listened to an Image Dragons song. You are capable of creating auditory illusions you can control in anyone who can hear. You watched a documentary on animals; in your line of vision you can transform someone or something into an animal you can imagine. You played an MMO; upon touching someone or yourself you can assign an archetype of a fantasy class complete with various abilities and skills related to said class. Ate an item with an advertisement for an upcoming movie/game etc; you can regurgitate items that belong to the property in question that function normally however you’re only limited to the size of your throat.

Edit: Feel free to make the ability yourself or if you can’t think of anything let someone else make one.

If you could add a skill for an existing or future vocation what would it be?

Personally I want to add like a feather fall spell to Mages and Sorcerers. When cast you fall slower than normal. In addition you effectively double the distance you take any damage received from a fall. Lasts for maybe 30 seconds so its a decent amount if time. Affects the whole party. Also maybe a spell that blinds some foes in an area for a few seconds. Sorcerer deserves more utility and not just damage spells.

Pick an object and a concept. Next comment creates a power.

For instance: Hat and space. You have a hat that has a microuniverse in it. You can draw things in, hold them for a time then pull out whenever you like.

Name a skill, quality or trait about yourself. Comments make a power based on it.

For instance someone says they’re a skilled runner. A comment could be that you can time travel by running in place. Or you have the ability to absorb all impact with your legs.

Maybe you like to sew. Next comment could be you can fix things near perfectly by sewing some material into the broken part. Or you can temporarily transform things into a material of your choice like wool or other types of fabric.

Edit: Multiple comments per original are encouraged if you feel you have something different than what others have made.

CT: Devotion or Reverence

Not sure if this was thought up by someone else so apologies if it was.

The user is capable of being connected to local deities and other spiritual figures of significance in their area. Depending on the gifts they give and the favors given they can exhibit a portion of power from said deity or figure for a predetermined time or use. Larger and more powerful deities might have specific conditions and gifts required leading to more powerful abilities but work on more limited use cases such as only a handful of uses of that ability before requiring a new tribute or can only last for a set period of time. Whereas lesser deities or figures might have weaker abilities or CT for longer periods.

The user themselves has found enjoyment traveling to museums and cultural sites where they catalogue each figure and their specific likes/dislikes and requirements per regions. They often travel to local shops to pick out foods, alcohols or other types of gifts to leave at existing shrines or create some themselves to give then a place of worship or reverence.

Limitations: Some deities just fully will not accept giving a portion of their power no matter the circumstances. They may also attack or harm the user if the gift is offensive or not accepted. Even if it is accepted they can’t hold an unlimited amount of abilities, tools etc at any given time and some deities might conflict with each other. Its possible to negotiate a truce but sometimes they just have to accept nothing in return. Powers sometimes may only be allowed within specific restrictions such as a god or kami of storms will only manifest power if a storm is nearby. A kappa can only use its power effectively nearby streams or a mountain kappa within dense woods. A being of night or day the same.

An idea I have for the user is they are a natural negotiator. After honing their abilities over the years they’ve become accustomed to dealing with haughty deities and create the most advantageous deals for themselves. They are a natural manipulator who on the surface seems nice but deep down are a calculating master of words. They may even purposefully lure targets to places of worship and ‘accidentally’ have them destroy a shrine or temple to unleash the full power of something he was unable to tame on the promise they kill the trespasser and their shrine will be rebuilt. They keep several lesser kami powers on hand for everyday use and defense should the need arise.

Let’s say you feel like you don’t have enough time in the day to get things done. Next comment could say cloning or limited time control. Your car broke down and isn’t fixed yet: teleportation or super speed. You’re afraid about getting older: age reversal or rebirth. Etc

Edit: Multiple responses are encouraged so even if it was answered you can come up with another if you want
