ISO of an extremely basic sweater pattern that drops air would work with

i’m looking for an extremely basic sweater pattern. preferably wide-ish neck, not raglan, and oversized. i have a ton of drops air yarn leftover from my homestead sweater and would love a pattern that it could work for.

thanks!

i am devastated.

you can find the update here.

i just finished my second olga sweater and i was ecstatic when i finally binded off and sewed all the ends in. i soaked it in warm water with wool wash (it’s friends extra fine merino wool), squeezed it gently, gently wrapped it in a towel, and laid it on the blocking board.

and it was huge.

this photo was after a full cycle in the dryer on delicate and warm as a last resort and that didn’t even help.

so now i’m stuck with this monstrosity and can’t stop crying.

i will never use this yarn again.

EDIT: after crying myself to sleep last night i decided to come back to this post and clarify some things. i’m not an experienced knitter, i’ve only made 3 (i believe) sweaters and only one of them turned out good. no, i typically don’t do gauge swatches, and to be honest yes it is out of laziness. but i also don’t think i deserve to be mass downvoted for admitting to not gauge swatching.

i’m currently dealing with some neurological issues, which are affecting my sleep, mental health, and motor functions. it’s taking a huge toll on me and i’ve had to take a break from working because of it.

this sweater was supposed to be the one thing that went right for me in the last few months. it was supposed to be a good thing that made me feel better to have finished it as i put 88 hours into it.

that’s why i was so upset about it. i guess it was just a reminder that not everything in my life right now is shitty, and it feels like i can’t even have that one small thing.

not to sound like a pity party but that’s the explanation for why i said i couldn’t stop crying. it just really hit a nerve for me.

so yeah. sorry i don’t gauge swatch

desperate for a pattern for squares that look like these

i saw this on pinterest and would absolutely love to find how to make these squares. the link attached didn't include this bag (of course). i'm hoping i haven't been fooled by ai.

ELI5: why did iron lung patients have to have their arms in the machine too?

why couldn't patients have their arms free? could they not have made the machine so that it either started at their chest or have arm holes so they could still use their arms?

frame sheet can’t be removed?

i just got a jansport penelope 34 and i really like it, but there’s an uncomfortable frame sheet in the back. i googled it and am finding basically no information about this specific bag and how to remove it. there’s no velcro pocket for easy removal so i’m unable to do that.

does anyone know how to take a frame sheet out of a backpack without tearing it apart?

does anyone know how to fix this?

i’ve been working on this olga sweater on and off since last year and apparently i started the sleeve on top instead of in the armpit, which i don’t remember doing. are there any tricks on fixing this? it’s not a huge huge deal and i’m willing to redo the sleeve if i must, but i would prefer not to have to do that if possible

any help would be greatly appreciated!

ISO discontinued yarn

hi all! feel free to let me know if this isn’t the right place for this post, but i’m currently in desperate need of a discontinued yarn i can’t find anywhere.

it’s loops and threads soft and shiny in the color party multi. the color has been discontinued and i’m even struggling to find it on resale websites.

would anyone know where i could possibly obtain it, or be willing to let me buy it from you if you’re okay with parting with it? i would be forever grateful
