We have a guaranteed verandah stateroom for HOTHS on the Fantasy Oct 18th. Do you typically find out where your room will be BEFORE you sail or is that something you find out when you get there?

It’s not a huge deal to me either way, I’ll take the $1k savings with the guaranteed rate! Just curious. My wife hasn’t been on a cruise before and she is wondering if she’ll be motion sick, which I know from experience can vary VASTLY with where your stateroom is. I’m bringing dramamine just in case.

Anyone here been through TSA in Florida recently? Wondering how concerned we need to be. Our honeymoon cruise is leaving from Florida in less than a month, and obviously we need to go through TSA to go home. My MTF wife is very worried about the body scanner, as she is no-op.

We live in WA and usually only go between CA and home. Nobody gives a shit about “incongruent parts” in any of the airports we usually fly out of. We did apply for TSA Precheck a few months ago, but her investigation is still pending and I don’t think it’ll come through before we need to use it. Frustrating because they said it would take no more than 60 days…that’s another story.

We are flying out of Orlando International, if that is helpful at all. I’m pretty sure it’ll be ok since that’s the airport people use to go to Disney, and I assume there are at least SOME trans people going to Disney still. Still, the fact that it’s Florida makes me nervous. She’s already planning to only use family restrooms while in the airport, even though she fully passes.

Tried to call the non-emergency line to report potential fire near me (smelled it last night and again this morning) and couldn’t get past what seemed to be an AI. That’s extremely frustrating. AI should not be used to report issues like that. You can’t trust it to do its job correctly or to transcribe appropriately.

At the very least, there should be the option to transfer to a real person. Shame on them.

We are a queer couple and were originally looking to get married next year, but given what is happening currently we are compressing the timelines. Any advice is much appreciated! This is the last thing on my list.

My (cis f) and my fianceé’s (mtf) best friend came out a few months ago as trans mtf. She initially thought she was just trying the hormones out “just to see”, but she stuck with it and seems to be happy. My fiancee and I are very happy for her, and love that she’s finally found herself.

But yall! Shes *mean*. She’s always had a sort of “mean funny” personality that came off as just not knowing what was socially acceptable. But since transitioning, it’s like she’s turned into a mean girl. I know sometimes, trans people will turn into an exaggerated version of what they think their gender is supposed to be like for a bit until they find their groove. It makes sense if that’s the version you see on tv. I get it, and I tried to give her grace. She was my best friend before, I wanted to keep her after. She’s just so cruel. She loves to make fun of people and rub things in your face when she wins at anything.

I’m sad about the lost friendship, and yet I miss her. I feel weird for missing “him”, too. I have a trans fiancee, for gods sake. I was with my love the whole time she was transitioning, and try my hardest to always be supportive. I know that ex-bff was never “him”, that she was always her. But my best friend was not this mean. My best friend cared about people and tried his best to tone it down when needed. *She* doesn’t care about any of that. She’s got her new friends, and I assume they are all similar levels of bitch because idk how anyone else could take it. Even when asked to stop doing something, she’ll only stop for a short while.

Sigh.

Hi all, I am trying to find alternate ideas for creating a recognizable jester cosplay without the iconic hat. I’m going to a renaissance fair in the middle of August, when temps regularly get over 100 degrees F where I live. I love the look of long-tailed caps, but there is no way I could either make or buy one that would be cool enough to wear (i would want one that is black and white to go with my other pieces).

This is my first real cosplay (not just Halloween costume) and I have nooo idea what else would make me recognizable! I love the idea of bells, maybe some kind of headband with bells? Help!
