Iyer and GG didn’t want Vaibhav debut

Both GG and Iyer had decided not to make any change to the batting for the first three matches of this series. And Vaibhav was supposed to debut at the earliest in the fourth match. But the team management had intense discussion with the BCCI management who were unhappy with him being on the bench, not given a chance in the Ireland series and especially as they lost it as well. Because of all this there was immense pressure on them to give a chance as either way there is a sword dangling over GG - BCCI is considering whether to have split coaching for tests or just remove GG all together.

Under these circumstances, they had to give him the debut. That’s the reason you will not see any good moments being shared between Vaibhav and GG or Iyer. You have noticed that the cap was provided to him by Tilak when generally it is provided by the captain, the coach or a very senior member of the team and he is not any of these.

Man the directors and writers are beyond joke, not putting any effort

In yesterday’s episode it was shown that Rio and Parth were fighting as a joke and then drinking at the Virani house terrace. This would have been silly from them as why would they take this risk of drinking at the house terrace when literally anyone could have come and seen them.

Someone from the team must have pointed that out. And what they did was just added another scene of them drinking alcohol on the car on the road, immediately after this, instead of redoing the scene. I had to rewind to confirm what I was seeing. What the hell is this joke lmaooo

Friendly reminder the crude oil is currently 30% cheaper while Petrol is 55% more expensive

Just a reminder that everyone should always be reminded of. One of the major reasons of the stock market giving bad returns is the heavy taxation decreasing consumption. And fuel is a major factor in that.

2013: Crude 115, Petrol 76
2026: Crude 79, Petrol 111

You want me to adjust for INR/USD?

Okay, the USD appreciate by 50%. So the 79 of now is 120 of then, so almost similar crude oil price but 50% more expensive petrol? Well, also add ethanol of 20%. So basically 50% more price for a fuel which is only 80% petrol.

And being portrayed to us as if government isn’t passing all the cost to us and the petrol hike has been minimal. Reality is they never passed on the benefit when crude oil price tanked and only partially the benefit was passed on right now.

Got a tip off regarding the story from a friend who works at the show

(Everything he has told me till now has been correct)

Apparently they will show in the coming weeks that Parth will take money from the buyer for the heritage property in cash and will not give the papers.

Because it will be in cash, the buyer will not be able to prove that he actually paid and as such he will lose the property. And he will kill Parth and Rio.

Then Tulsi will appear and will tell how all of this was her and Nandini's plan from the start to kill Ansh so that Rio wants to avenge his dad's death and in that they steal and sell the property in black, and all this happens so that the world understands the importance of not doing transactions in black money. Then there will be a cameo of Modiji who will do Mann ki baat.

If the rumors are correct, I hope it doesn't go the way I fear it will go

So a lot of rumors are there that Rio and Parth both are going to be removed from show, apparently as they are both going to die. Some are saying it will be as Rio will kill Parth and then Tulsi will kill Rio. But I fear, it won't be this way.

Why would Rio kill Parth? killing someone will be his final blow, and although he likely hates everyone, his primary goal is Tusli. So my guess would be that he would be trying to kill Tulsi and somehow Parth will come in between to save her and lose his life. And then Tulsi kills Rio or police takes her etc. I hope I am not correct because I would hate parth sacrificing his life for this hypocrite Tulsi.

Also, what is this joke that Rio explains to Niyati that Karan is so good and is like his dad and has such good bond with him, and is thankful to him. But at the same time he is trying to fuck up Karan's son's life all the time. Why would you do that to someone's son if you like them/appreciate all they have done for you?

How I deal with blue-collar staff (cab drivers, restaurant staff, househelp, etc.) while maintaining my mental peace

When you have a surplus of wealth and are upgrading your lifestyle, a crucial aspect is deciding how to deal with service people without bothering your mental health. You'll often interact with cab drivers, restaurant/store staff, househelp, cashiers, electricians, etc. They can sometimes be a pain to deal with, but what do you do?

I can't start arguing with them – I'm better than that, and it destroys my mental peace unnecessarily. But then what? Deduct money? Nope, you look cheap and it leads to arguments.

Here's the method I've found,

I understand and accept that most people in blue-collar jobs are there due to circumstances life put them into, not because of their own fault. They deserve a better life, and the money they get paid is very low thanks to cheap labor in India.

So whenever I take a service, I pre-decide a tip amount (even at places where tips aren't expected – I think restaurant waiters are the only ones who expect tips, no one else does). This amount isn't consequential to me but would make them happy.

If they're a pain to deal with, I don't pay the tip.

This gives me mental peace without causing an argument. For example:

  • Uber/agreed cab rate: ₹400
  • Pre-decided tip: ₹200 (I think of it as charity, not a service tip)
  • Total I'd pay for good service: ₹600
  • If they're a pain: I pay just ₹400

I know I've "deducted" ₹200 as a penalty, which brings me mental peace. For people who were genuinely good, I give the extra ₹200 (or more) and feel good about helping someone working hard.

What's your take on this? Might be a bit silly, but I've found this to be a good way to deal with these situations.

Can we please talk about the unreal GG hate

Please hear me out and read till the end before jumping to any conclusions.

I know over the last few years since Gautam Gambhir became the Coach. There have been lots of hatred that people have been giving him.

You have to see the position from which he has come to Being the coach of the ICT. He played a crucial role in the 2007 T20 World Cup and then in the 2011 World Cup finals. Though he felt that he did not get enough credit and to be fair to him, one can see the point you are one of the best players in both the finals as well as in the tournament, and then someone else gets all the Credit, you are fair enough to feel bad, not saying correct, but you have to see the point or his perspective.

Then he became captain of KKR and won them the IPL couple of times, but still somehow he never was mentioned in the same breath as Dhoni and Rohit. And because of these perhaps felt there is a bias or there is a control in the narrative because of which he’s not getting the due respect. And somewhat around the same time, he tried to join. BJP became a member of Parliament. Got closer to the people in the administration, and that perhaps paved the way for him to have a controlling position over the Indian team.

Just before becoming the coach, however, was a mentor and not the coach as many think of KKR and they won the IPL, but all the cricket went to Iyer and no one really spoke off GG because they have felt he did not really do anything out of the ordinary. And right after this, when he became the coach of ICT, I think he tried to change these things in a way that people actually recognise the contributions whether the positive or the negatives and attribute any success that comes to him.

He made a lot of experiments. He failed miserably in the test format for which he actually never had the temperament as a coach because of his success as a leader has been in the shortest format. But the issue is that if the Indian team has a success in the T20 format, no one will really give the credit to him a lot because everyone has accepted that due to the IPL india team is bound to do very well. As such he has to try random experiments. He tries to make a bold out of the ordinary decisions and that’s fine. He’s trying to be aggressive and have that fighting mentality.

He is not allowed to be blamed. Administration can be blamed that they made someone the coach who is not coaching to make the team better but rather to prove himself and perhaps that’s his bigger priority.

I know a lot of people do not like him, and that’s because almost everyone is part of one of the three fan bases. Dhoni fan base does not like him because of all the Credit stealing allegations. He has put on him over the years. But unfortunately, the hatred from the Kohli and Rohit fans is somewhat justified because the guy does have some personal vendetta against them and is always in an attempt to try to remove them from the team, and he also gives out statement which clearly shows his hatred for them.

I am not going to justify any of these hatred that he has for the older players, and that he feels sour. But if you just look from his perspective, you will see, it’s not as easy to make the decisions and and give out statements while he has Harshit Rana’s d#@k up his @ss. But you people do not think about his position and keep hating on him.

Can we talk about the waste of tax payers money please?

We work day and night to make a living for ourselves, and that too after years of working our ass off in schools and colleges. After all that we get a job and have to pay 30% of the final income on taxes. 3-4 months a year I am working for the government.

All this money we spend and have issue managing our needs or desires. But at least there is a hope that it will go to the needy people and will be used for the betterment of people. However what happens instead? Government uses that money to pay salaries for free to this IAS officer Munni who does nothing but sit in the Virani house and keep doing the drama all day and bullshiting random philosophies all day! Can we please get our tax money back or fire this fraud collector?

Tulsi is such a hypocrite, it's amazing

For a family of such dishonest and cheating people indulging in adultery they sure claim to have a lot of morals. But today when Nandini slapped Damini she acted like it was such an unacceptable thing. Okay, let's even accept this, let's say Tulsi considers physical altercation to be above everything else. She says that unlike words, they shouldn't get physical. Damini said she bad things, but okay even then Tulsi considers it's not okay for Nandini to slap. Okay, let's accept this also, doesn't matter what anyone says against your character, don't try to get physcial with them. Okay, fine, let's accept that.

But....

When Parth said things assassinating Vaishavi's character, then TULSI SLAPPED PARTH! How was that acceptable?! What a fucking joke of a writing is this?!!!!

Need suggestion for a good hotel/property to visit with girlfriend for a day

basically the title. We are working adults but for some reason can't meet at my/her home. Ideally would have wanted to book a good 5 star and just went there for the day time, but feel it would be a bit weird if i take the room at 2 PM and checkout at 10PM. Not sure what would be the best option for us, budget shouldn't be an issue. would be great if anyone been in similar position and can give any good sugestion

Anyone from the writing team here?

If anyone from the team lurking here, for god sake please get some sense. This formula might have worked 25 years ago, but this kind of writing is absolutely shit and won’t work.

This ragebating is idiotic. Writing a story which is nowhere close to being realistic is not acceptable in today’s times. I am done with this show until the recent stupidities are fixed.

Nothing aligns, the writers are a joke

We were told some business were losing money and Hritik was not managing well, and now we are told everything is in losses only and there is no money. And yet, this uncle Rio has donated all the sarees and this failed ex Education minister of India appreciates instead of blaming him for the losses when they are already in debt.

Parth made so much money and that is not appreciated enough, no wonder their businesses are losing money. This also exposes the hypocrisy of Tulsi, she asked the opinion of Gautam on who should be given POA - one who made money or one who donated for the welfare; he was not even aware of the losses and lack of money. Why would he appreciate Parth and blame Riyo uncle when he thinks they have extra money either way? It's Tulsi who should be thankful. I hate Tulsi so much.
