The wilds of Dominica

A few photos from the wild jungles and mountains of Dominica (not to be confused with the Dominican Republic). Such an amazing island with something like 12 volcanos and 365 rivers and up to 9m of rain. A true juristic park type lost world.

The kanda lights, beautiful night

kanda area is situated near the river; thus, lots of bridges. it is also a very commercial area, and very well decorated. like moths to a light, we walked closer to these lights. and that led to more lights. this area could never be more bright and whimsical. for some reason, i just found the urge to sing the japanese version of "part of your world" as we were walking around this area. "part of your world" was the song from that mermaid movie, but this area had wings and not tails. so i was weirded out myself.

Kanda is a major historic and commercial district located in the Chiyoda ward of Tokyo, Japan

The story of a bridge on the Dobra River towards Karlovac County, in a place called Lipa

The story of a bridge on the Dobra River towards Karlovac County, in a place called Lipa. Namely, five girls lost their lives on December 26, 1916 in the swollen Dobra River, and the post includes a photo with a caption about it, with their names. It is a locally known tragedy from the village of Vodena Draga (a hamlet near Lipa). The story goes that the event was related to a crossing over the Dobra River at a time when the bridge was not yet completed. In winter torrents, the Dobra can be extremely dangerous — it rises suddenly and carries everything in its path, so the old people here say. It is interesting that the plaque connects the beginning of the construction of the bridge and the tragedy — which often means that this very event was probably one of the reasons or accelerations for the construction of a permanent bridge.

And next to that memorial is a bench where a couple left a sign of their love

Deepak Taal, the Himalayas

Starting this beautiful day out here today in the Himalayas as the day, it begins about reaching and making all the way to this beautiful corner around the northern regions of Himalayas.

I could clearly see till a certain time, a certain point of the depth of the water as it was so clear, just like a crystal.

There were few of the streams through which the water was flowing rightly from the high altitude, mountain, glaciers, and then just forming up into this lake, making it all the way from the mountains.

It was that particular moment of afternoon when it was the time that we have to head back for a while. I had a thought about that. Why not you just stay here for a bit more, but also it was getting a bit chilly as also it was the later time in the afternoon and just few hours, the sun will set around the place, and currently we were at an altitude of more than 4000 m above the sea level.

Last moments around Deepak Taal, wandering beside the high-altitude glacier lake.

Along the sound of the Kupa River, the beautiful forest - Croatia

Along the sound of the Kupa River, the beautiful forest - Croatia Here, nature speaks quietly, but leaves a strong mark on us and a strong peace within us. The scent of pine trees, the heavy shade of centuries-old trees and the crystal-clear, clear and colorful Kupa River create a place to escape from everyday life. A walk along the river brings peace that is rarely found, while the sound of water and the singing of birds remind us of how simple moments are actually the most valuable. It is truly beautiful there, one wants to come and stay.

The lesser spotted woodpecker (Picoides minor , synonym of Dryobates minor)

The lesser spotted woodpecker (Picoides minor , synonym of Dryobates minor): This woodpecker is a real tiny one among its relatives, slightly larger than a sparrow. Outwardly, they look like other spotted woodpeckers, the same white and black colors, as well as a red cap on the head of males. And if you are attentive, you can also notice brown spots on the muzzle. However, they are not congenital, but acquired. This woodpecker does not peck thick tree bark like all the others, but only thin bark on tree branches, as well as old rotten and loose bark, from which its muzzle gets dirty.

Aurora borealis dancing all over the stars, amazing colorful pics, Irland

Good evening everyone.

Last night over the Ireland (whole Europe) we have seen beautiful aurora borealis dancing all over the sky

he feeling when I saw it was unbelievable..

The northern lights appear in the sky when charged particles spew from the sun during solar storms, making colorful light displays when clouds of those particles collide with Earth's magnetic field and interact with the atoms and molecules in Earth's upper atmosphere

Doors of the Chapel of Saint Barbara, Historic Village of Marialva – Portugal

Saint Barbara is associated with protection against storms and thunder, and at that high point, that connection makes sense. The space is open, exposed. I can imagine other times, other concerns, people climbing up there not out of curiosity, but out of necessity. Promises, requests, or simply faith.

Walking for Quintandona Rural Village - Portugal

The walk ended near the entrance to the Quintandona Natural Park. But that part will have to wait for another day. We stayed there for a few minutes, without much hurry to return. The sun was already lower, the air a little cooler.
