Made my account yesterday and auditioned today for the first time.

Since auditioning for one project I have received over 20 of the scam messages (within 4 hours) that people are posting about here. I knew they happened but I didn’t expect to get this many - is there a way to stop these messages being sent to my email but still have legit ones come through? Or hide my profile from scammers?

I also don’t even understand what the scam is - why is ACX so rife with people trying to get you on their telegram? Seems like such a weird place to try it.

Edit: since this post less than an hour ago I have received 10 more! Gaddamn these telegrams are relentless

I’m fairly new to ACX and only set up a profile recently.

I’m British, but a lot of the books I want to audition for are set in the US or require an American accent.

Performing the accents aren’t a problem, but when it comes to auditioning, would you recommend reading the entire sample including dialogue with an American accent or is it acceptable to audition in my native accent and only use American accents for the dialogue that requires it?

Wasn’t sure what the general rule is on these things.

Milestone coming up and want to treat myself to a new PC. Its been a while since I’ve kept up with parts so I don’t know who is best to trust now (ideally I’d like to stay Nvidia).

I am an editor and designer and despite having a 3070 my mobo has reached end of life for any cpu upgrades and I’d like more than 8gb of VRAM for AI and general power when streaming. I’m also pretty sure my ram is so old that even though it’s 32gb ddr4 it’s slow.

I want a pc that can handle anything I throw at it and still have room for upgradability down the line. If it has an m2 slot I’d only need one as I’m sure I could put the SSDs from my current pc into the new one as extra storage. Include a new case as I might give my current build away or use it as a stream machine.

Let me know what you recommend, budget probably around 3-4k if I’m really pushing the boat but cheaper is always better.

there just isn't enough episodes to keep me satiated. Idk why this show is the only one I want like 200 episodes of all at once just so I can watch binge it forever. I love the vibes and the characters and 3 episodes a week isn't enough to truly ruminate.

Anybody else still love to play this game after this Expedition?

I got the game back on launch but haven't been able to play last wipe as much as I would've liked.

I found myself playing it daily, so figured the Expedition would be a good goal to work toward and make the game fresh again.

Only... I did the Expedition, and now I find that I am kinda cracked at this game. I was hoping it would be cool to start again from scratch and build myself back up, but for some reason, IT IS. The lobbies even feel mixed now so that fun level of fear is back.

Couple that with my entire friend group dropping the game a couple months back, I’ve made friends in Arc instead who are great at the game too.

No complaints though, it was definitely a good 6+ months of ARC! And here’s to 6 more months, excited to see what they release next update.
