United rebooked my flights but didn't send my bag to the new carrier and now it's delayed and in another country. Am I eligible for compensation?

I was rebooked to united but my united flight was delayed, so united rebooked me to Lufthansa. However united never sent my bag over to Lufthansa so when I arrived in Europe from the USA, my bag was still in the US. My bag is still there after several days. Am I eligible for compensation?

My flight was cancelled and I was rebooked the next day on a different airline. Am I eligible for compensation under EU rules?

I booked a flight from the US to Europe with swiss. The flight was cancelled, with no reason given. Then I was automatically booked with united on a flight the next day. Am I eligible for compensation or meal vouchers?

Moved for love but visiting my home country really made me see what I left

I met my now wife almost 5 years ago. We fell in love and she wanted to return to her own country to be closer to her family, so I went with her. I've started a pretty good life in her country. I've learned the language, gotten a good job, made some friends.

However I visited where I'm from for the first time since I moved several years ago and it's been pretty tough. I had a lot of friends at home and it was really great to see them. We hung out and did all of the stuff we like to do. I honestly haven't felt this happy in a long time.

I feel really torn about feeling so happy here because I know my wife and new life are in another country. Has anyone else dealt with this before?

Did anyone else‘s parents not send them to school with lunch?

My wife and I were talking today about what she had for lunch as a kid. She was saying she never had chips and was surprised when a kid brought chips to school every day. I don‘t know why I had forgotten this, but in 4th grade, my mom told me I had to start packing my own lunch, showed me how to make a PBJ and then never made lunch for me again.

She also did not give me lunch money so basically from then on, until the end of high school, I went to school without lunch. This happened for both me and my sister. Either we were able to borrow money from a teacher, or we had to ask our friends for extra food (which we thought was begging), or we just didn‘t eat.

It was a very painful memory that came up. Did anyone experience this? I also don‘t know at what age children should be expected to make their own lunch, maybe it‘s that young. But I think the parents should at least keep an eye on things to see if their kids are actually making lunch and eating.
