Incoming long post! I graduated college in 2024, worked as a barista for 15 months, and then finally got my first corporate internship this past January. I'm in the interview process for a full-time role but I don't have a good feeling about it. Feeling super demotivated as I think I worked really hard, but it's a competitive industry. Also applying to countless other jobs (obviously) but having trouble feeling good about my chances. I'm really scared of becoming unemployed for a long period, as I'm desperate to move out of my parents' and "spread my wings."

This is my first Celtic Cross, so second opinions are more than welcome. My interp is below.

1: PRESENT POSITION -- Four of Swords (reversed)

Places an emphasis on rejuvenation, rest, relaxation and stepping back to prepare for a challenge.

Reserved position indicates a period of burnout, stagnant energy or misplaced resources. Realign.

About overcoming challenges, taking control of situations, "steering the chariot."

Mini Cross Analysis

The mini cross asserts that the querent is in control of their own life. Despite ongoing feelings of burnout and self-deprecation, the querent must continue to play an active role in their personal path to find success. The Chariot recognizes the challenge, but does not shirk from it; the Four of Swords acknowledges the present catatonia, but does not make excuses for it. The only way forward is through.

3: THE FOUNDATION -- King of Swords (upright)

A card of ultimate mental clarity and authority. The answer is already known within the querent, the querent must act upon their own personal authority to help themselves.

4: RECENT PAST -- Knight of Wands (upright)

The querent is motivated by a fiery intellectual energy which will propel them forwards. Indicates a recent career success or bold, dynamic move that has pushed the querent into their current position.

5: THE HORIZON/QUERENT'S DESIRE -- Five of Pentacles (reversed)

A card of worry. The light at the end of a dark tunnel. This card acknowledges ongoing or past hardship, promising the prospect of relief.

The reversed position indicates possible financial recovery and/or progress. A reminder to shed the shame of the past in order to move forward. A shift in perspective is necessary to move forward.

6: NEAR FUTURE -- Judgment (reversed)

The judge, jury and executioner. A decision needs to be made. Matters will come to an inevitable head.

Reversed position indicates ignoring a higher calling or creative pursuit. Unresolved internal tension and ambitions which will lead to missed opportunities if not rectified. Also symbolizes internalized shame and self-doubt which may be holding back the querent.

7: INNER SELF -- Six of Pentacles (upright)

The card of reciprocity. An equal give-and-take. In the shadow position, it may represent financial insecurity, a lack of control or fear of being manipulated. It could also indicate an internal imbalance, i.e. giving too much and not receiving, or receiving too much and not giving.

8: THE ENVIRONMENT -- Page of Swords (upright)

An insightful and highly active card. The querent's physical environment is filled with energy. This affects the querent's mood, attitude towards the query, physical health and appearance. This card is a call to action; answers will not come from lying in wait. The environment insists upon self-enacted change.

9: QUERENT'S HOPES/FEARS -- King of Cups (upright)

Self-discipline, emotional authority and calmness. The querent is hopeful for deep emotional intelligence, stability and discernment. They are afraid of vulnerability, commitment and being manipulated. A watery card, the King of Cups represents the truth and stillness underneath the surface. The querent needs to take the plunge to succeed.

This card embodies conflict and scarce resources. Competition and activity hostility. Struggle is inevitable and chaos will exacerbate the situation. To succeed, the querent must maintain a level head.

The reversed position is hopeful. Working together may result in a positive outcome. Teamwork is paramount in this position; there is strength in numbers.

I think my overall interpretation is: treat this period as rest, but keep working hard towards my dream. Don't let self-doubt/depression hold myself back from trying my hardest to pursue my goals. Maybe I'm neglecting my creative side? Should I be pursuing my creative pursuits more seriously? The outcome card indicates my success will not be easily earned, and I'm assuming it means I won't get the full-time job, but it's encouraging me to stay firm on my path(?).
