Massaman Curry, Pad Kra Pao and Satay

Massaman Curry, Pad Kra Pao and Satay

I invited a good friend for dinner tomorrow and precooked everything tonight. Treated myself to a sampler menu. Massaman Curry, Pad Kra Pao and Satay, all homemade from scratch.

Chicken and cashew nuts

My all time favorite Thai dish. It‘s light and healthy and still filling and savory.

Red curry with chicken

I was craving thai curry and happend to have bought a new red curry paste to try out from my local Asian market a few weeks ago. Cooked with chicken and a ton of veggies. Had a nice balance on the spiciness.

Rigatoni with ‘Nduja

Rigatoni with ‘Nduja-basil-tomato sauce and grana padano (more in the back, because there is no such thing as too much cheese).

Pad Kra Pao

I really love this dish! Savory, salty & spicy, perfectly complemented by simple white rice and an crispy fried egg with runny yolk on top. Chefs kiss!

[SKX013] Simplicity at its best!

After Seiko started my dive watch addiction many years ago I bought some Swiss divers (Oris, Tudor, Omega) and over time let my Japanese pals sit in the box more and more.

Recently I have bought a used King Turtle, that I unfortunately had to send in for service immediately after receiving it. I‘m still waiting for it to come back and to shorten the wait time I took out my good old SKX013 today.

What should I say… It‘s simple, small and just nice to look at! Guess I‘m falling in love with my Seiko divers again ❤️

Massaman Curry during Heat Wave

Not exactly a summer dish in my book but I was craving a nice Massaman Curry.

Served with Jasmine Rice and Cucumber Salad.

Cacio e Pepe

Cacio e Pepe is my newest obsession! This is my fifth try and finally I get closer to how I like it. So simple and yet so complicated! Temperature and enough starch are the gamechanger (I also cheated with a little corn starch and prepared the sauce with a blender).

Homemade Carnitas Tacos

After a hard workday I craved some Tacos.

Carnitas, Pico de Gallo + (Tomato, Cucumber, Red Onion, Avocado, Pomegranate, Sweet Vinegar, Olive Oil), Chipotle Mayo, Sriracha Mayo & Hot Sauce. Topped with Parsley and Lime Juice.

It hit the spot!
