PICA ruling waiting till elections.

I know someone who works private security for some Illinois law makers. Apparently they are holding off the PICA ruling till after the elections. Sounds kind of like if a republican gets in PICA being deemed unconstitutional already goes away. If it’s a democrat seems like it’s going to be business as usual. Seems to me like there’s been some serious shady shit going on behind closed doors.

Dagger Slide on 43x experience so far…..

So I am sure there is some of you that have been thinking about this combo. I’m sure there are some of you that have this combo. Here’s my experience so far and if you don’t shoot much…. You might want to test it.

I got a dagger slide for my 43x after hearing some good things about the dagger and wanting a budget slide that was optic capable since my 43x came out before the MOS version. Milling a slide seems like a hassle and most slides are expensive.

I put it on and it seemed flawless. Zeroed my optic with about 20 rounds and didn’t have any issues. This is my primary carry gun btw. I carried it at work trusting everything was good for about a month.

Went to the range and put another 20 rounds through it and *click* the first light primer strike happened. Tap rack and then fire the next one. Next shot up would be another light primer strike. (Though I didn’t realize this yet)

Maybe it was some bad ammo. Checked a few different brands I brought with and same thing right away. Now I started inspecting rounds that didn’t fire. All of them light primer strikes.

Now I lost faith in this thing. Removed the slide and put my stock on back on and zero problems.

After reaching out to PSA on multiple occasions asking for a return shipping label for a warranty and getting zero response this thing sat in my safe for a year. Recently reached out again and per usual, zero fucking response from PSA.

So I went to Glock store and ordered a factory slide parts kit that I just installed and here’s some things I noticed.

First and most importantly the firing pin they use is god awful. I mean junk. The Glock one slides smooth when you compress it with your hands. Has an ever so slight wobble under tension fully extended but not much.

The PSA one is gritty when you compress it. Almost like it sticks to itself. The whole assembly wobbles like crazy.

Another thing I noticed is their springs all just seem significantly lower quality. From tension to coatings.

The ejector seems of a cheaper plastic as well. I could be wrong but idk that’s just what it seems comparing them.

I haven’t fired this yet to see if the stock glock internals helped. I’m pretty sure they will. Other then some dry fire cycles it seems to be working good so far. Everything is going back into battery which I almost forgot, was another issue when I started having light primer strikes.

So for a conclusion for now, if you’re thinking about putting one of these slides on your 43x you’re going to want to test the shit out of it first. Or buy a better slide with better parts in it.

If you have this and haven’t really shot it. Shoot the hell out of it and test it to make sure it’s functioning right.

Also PSAs FDE coating is not great at all. For a slide that really hasn’t been used a ton, its wear is pretty bad. Figured I would mention that because some people out there care way to much about how their gun looks rather then how it functions. Personally idc if this thing ends up completely worn out as long as it serves its purpose.

*Update*

Test fired it with factory OEM Glock internals and not a single issue.

B-14 .308 owners, what box ammo did you find works great in them?

Just got my first LR bolt gun in 30Hate. Looking for some recommendations on ammo to work on LR shooting plus want to zero everything with good rounds so I’m not chasing a zero

Women’s Learn To Plays Around Chicago?

Any women in here from the Chicago area? My fiance just started doing stick and puck with me since I figured that would be a good way to break her in, however, sometimes it’s pretty busy and she gets nervous when a bunch of dudes are buzzing around. She wants to do a women’s learn to play but both of us are not sure what barns actually have it. Most don’t have info on women’s stuff on the website. I told her I would do a co-ed one with her if there isn’t any women’s specific ones around so she would be more comfortable.

For those of you rebuilding old stihl saws at home, where you getting parts?

I got 3 old saws I need parts for. 028 Super, 028, and 020T. Only place I found is sawzilla which I have used before but some of their stuff isn’t right so it’s a gamble.
