My weird little guy has arrived!

Sorry for the crappy photos, I have no eye for photography.

I am a freak for strange but functional bags like the Schiapar small Souffl3, and when I saw that Kendall 🏭 makes one I had to put an order in. Now first thing's first the hardware is completely clockable and looks different from auth, however I was fully aware from the factory photos and for the price I paid, was completely fine with this. I don't want 1:1 auth, I want a good quality little weirdo on my shoulder.

Price: 227.70USD + Baker's 29USD commission + shipping (price combined with other bags)

Hardware: While not exactly like the auth (different eye, not the same hammered texture), still really fun, and made of a sturdy weighty metal. Definitely won't get scuffed anytime soon. As with the auth most of the segments move except for the last.

Leather: Matte grain leather with a lovely movement and slouch. Lined with a soft suede.

Overall quality: Stitching, finishes, etc are neat. I'm super happy with the quality.

Once I get some use out of it I can post a follow up/ long term use review.

Is it okay to ask for more PSPs?

Received PSPs for a bag, but there's one area I'm concerned about but in the photo it's slightly out of focus and the lightning is off, so I can't actually tell if I should be concerned (naturally, seller has said it's fine). I am a newbie so I wanted to know from everyone's experience if it's okay to ask for an additional picture? Or can it be seen as rude? I'm probably overthinking it but I want to make sure I have a good relationship with sellers.

My Bberry canvas tote rep from a rep market in China (anyone want a guide?)

I got this last year so there's definitely plenty of signs of wear on this bad boy, but I'd been coveting this canvas tote bag since it first came out and decided while I was visiting family in Shenzhen to get a rep. It cost me around $140 but I was in a hurry and most probably could have gotten it for less if I took the time to haggle a bit more. It came with a dustbag and tags, and the details are pretty good compared to the auths, but there are tells like the positioning of the lettering on the front pocket is higher (I know it also looks slightly off centre but it was the way the bag was sitting on the bed). The magnetic snaps on the front flap are actually really high quality and have a firm hold, and all the trim is of genuine leather and has not worn out at all despite the crap I put in it. It's slightly too small for a 13-inch laptop but I frequently jam one in anyway lmaoo

Now I was thinking as many TS are based in Shenzhen, and likely have a store in the marketplace that I got this bag, whether people might be interested in a brief guide? China's relaxed its visa requirements for a lot of countries including the UK and Canada, so it's easier than ever to visit (and I am biased but it's totally worth visiting). It's a different experience to online buying via TS, but you get the chance to actually physically inspect the goods before making a decision, and you can haggle.

I'm shocked at how good quality this Disney crossbody bag is

I got this as a gift from my aunt I think from Shanghai Disney, and to be honest I always thought merch items (even if they're marketed as higher end) mark up the price for the name recognition and are never that great, but I've been so pleasantly surprised at the quality! The leather (real leather!) is buttery soft but still has good structure, and the hardware is really sturdy metal (even though you can see the "gold" is coming off in pic 3). Even the Mickey magnet button is coated metal. The straps are connected by these chunky lobster clasps which I love as someone who loops things through bag straps (like baseball caps and overshirts). I am also a sucker for a crossbody, so this has firmly cemented itself in my daily rotation.

Recovering from a cold and singing a classic Disney song

Still a bit stuffy/nasal and I can hear my upper range is thinner but my throat is no longer sore! I've never really shared my singing on social media because I'm scared of singing in front of others but I'm trying to get over that IRL and online. My flair doesn't ask for it, but if you do have feedback do let me know!

What a "naturally talented" singer actually does to get to where they are..

As someone who has been considered a good singer since childhood, I recently started taking singing classes as an adult, and it made me realize there was a lot I did from infancy onward that set me apart and gave me the chance to develop my voice over time. I'm sharing this so people understand you really aren't born with singing talent, and it's something you absolutely can develop. You're never too late to start, some people just happen to start sooner. The one thing "naturally talented" people are actually born with is probably just an innate love for music.

Recently my mum shared a video of me as a toddler singing along to the radio, and it reminded me how whenever the radio was playing, I just sang along, basically as soon as I could speak. Growing up before the internet meant a lot of my alone time was spent literally just putting on an album start to finish and following along with the lyric booklet, for hours, on my own, because I wanted to (honestly, I still do it sometimes). If you add it up that's hours of practice of matching pitch, copying phrasing, figuring out breath placement, without ever thinking of it in those terms (obviously it's not actually as good as real professional singing lessons)

I also bought a Disney songbook as a kid, just because I loved to sing and wanted the lyrics. It happened to have sheet music printed alongside the words. I never played an instrument and still can't really read music, but staring at that notation next to lyrics I already knew by heart slowly gave me some rough intuitive sense of how pitch moves and how phrasing works. Not theory, just pattern recognition basically, but it helps a lot with singing.

So if you feel like you're starting from nothing next to someone who seems naturally gifted, honestly the more likely story is they just had years of low pressure, high repetition practice before anyone was watching or judging them. Having started taking these group singing classes I've improved SO much and have even discovered my whistle notes, so a real, professional singing teacher can genuinely make a world of difference whether you're starting from nothing or not.
