Midea u shaped window unit was quiet but lately it rumbles loudly at night.

What could be the cause? I’ve tried different modes but nothing.

It suddenly gets loud as hell for a few minutes then back into silent.

It used to be silent all the time but the rumbling has become a lot more frequent.

I don’t mind during the day but I’m a light sleeper and can’t deal with it randomly at 2 am.

Shitty food works like a sedative.

I remember when I worked at a warehouse with crazy hours and a lot of physical labor.

Pay was bad and the boss was really strict watching our bathroom breaks, etc.

There would always reach a “boiling point” where co workers would start talking amongst each other to confront and ask for a raise, or get AC in the building whatever it may be.

A few hotheads would get into arguments or walk off the job.

Then suddenly, right before things got worse, boss would show up with 10 boxes of pizza.

Everyone suddenly forgot about our shitty working conditions.

What’s crazy is, that one pizza day worked for weeks. It would take time before people started getting angry again.

Then, think about how lazy you feel after eating certain meals that you know are not good for you.

Imagine that a majority of the fat population starts their day with high carb junk foods.

Cereal, bagels, even fucken donuts.

If you pay close attention, it mentally takes the edge off and lowers your aggression.

You just feel too lazy and weighed down to do anything.

As a matter of fact, on days where I need to be very productive, I prefer to eat nothing at all because I know my mind will be sharpest.

There are millions of people sedating themselves with highly marketed foods that immediately put a damper on their mind and aggression.

By aggression, I don’t mean to physically fight, but to have just enough anger to perhaps go out and protest, or do anything productive to change what is bothering them.

I don’t think it’s a mistake that we’re all encouraged to start our day with a bunch of processed junk that is marketed as healthy because they sprayed a few vitamins on it.

Be careful with the black drain plug.

Silly me didn’t know it eventually clogs up and stops draining water.

My device smelled weird and I checked the drain plug and it was clogged with some gross mush.

A shit ton of water fell out. I have no idea how long it was sitting in there just possibly growing mold.

Shame on me for not checking on it I guess.

I decided to just leave it unplugged.

Does everyone think you’re stupid but you actually know a lot of things?

I often say dumb things out of impulse / anxiety because my thoughts are not always organized.

I feel I come across as this big idiot but inside I actually know a lot of things I’m just not amazingly articulate.

I hate being the stupid guy who actually knows, but doesn’t compose himself well.

On top of that, I’m very clumsy so it just adds to it.

Then, my medication for some reason makes me forget words often when I’m talking.

God I’m a mess :/

I messed up my only interview in 3 months due to small resume issue. Feeling like shit.

First interview in 3 months of applying everywhere btw.

Manager brings up a concern:

“Attention to detail is important and double checking work is a must, as any errors can make us look bad to the client.”

“I’m looking at your resume and don’t really see anything about having experience with attention to detail.”

I go over my previous roles and explain how attention to detail was part of the job and I’m very experienced with ensuring quality and accurate work.

He basically ignored what I said and looks at the resume and says:

“Yes, but it doesn’t say in the skills that you have experience with paying attention to detail. Why didn’t you include that?”

So I basically say yes I understand that. Perhaps I should have specified that in the resume. I assumed it was implied.

Then he says “ah, perhaps you don’t have the attention to detail that you claim?”

I try to fix it by saying, “well, it wasn’t a lack of attention to detail. I left it out intentionally assuming that was implied based on my work experience.”

Then he says, “nothing is implied in this world my friend.”

The interview goes on for a little bit and he asks me if it’s ok for him to have a big ass tootsie roll lollipop as we discuss further.

I felt that was a little weird and maybe even rude to be honest.

But of course, I’m not going to say no he can’t have it.

Because I’m a desperate person looking for a job.

Anyway, he tells the recruiter later on that I was a great interviewer but missing some qualifications he was looking for so he had to pass.

——

after thinking about it, I realize I should have put “attention to detail” on the skills area.

But I guess I assumed that was common sense.

I thought paying attention to detail was a bare minimum expectation in any job.

I messed up.

Is it really normal to sit through a 1 hour presentation and pretend a sales guy is now my family just to get a quote for something?

It seems every company is the same thing.

Before I can get some numbers they want to give me the spiel about how they now consider me their family member.

How they suspiciously like all the same hobbies I do.

And the companies humble roots or whatever.

Good lord how much for some gutters dude??

And who falls for these “I care about you, not the money” sales pitches!

When it’s that one kids turn to play the game and everyone walks away or stops paying attention.

That’s a really lame thing to do. Give the next guy the same energy or burn in video game hell.

What positive effects have you noticed from medication that you didn’t expect?

I take vyvanse.

Ive noticed oddly more confidence.

I feel less needy with people. Like, I don’t care as much as before. In a good way.

Like I used to anxiously text people back as soon as they texted me and things like that, now I don’t feel that.

I also noticed when there’s a conflict I am not overthinking so severely and can solve it more calmly.

Because I’m not thinking of 900 negative things, I am more positive and relaxed.

A way to see X amount of time until battery runs out?

I could’ve sworn there was a way to do this? The real time monitor only shows %.

What can help my enjoyment of things and motivation?

I suffer from intense boredom. No matter what I do I don’t find it enoyable.

This makes it hard to do things for extended amount of time.

I can barely even play a video game.

I suspect some kind of dopamine issue that I’ve been dealing with for many years.

Sometimes worse than others.

What can help with this?

Can someone ELI5 why something as weak as the switch 2 can run 4K docked, but I am told my 5070 shouldn’t be used for 4k?

I’m not super tech savvy but it doesn’t seem to add up to me.

I wanted a 4k monitor but everyone on Reddit seems to say 5070 is not good for 4k and I’ll run into all kind of terrible issues.

But then I see that the switch 2 can do 4k?

Or even the PS5?

Shouldn’t I be fine with DLSS?

I have a 5070 regular, not Ti btw.
