Adorable

I haven’t done much but wanted to share my little home. It’s my first farming game and I’m enjoying it much more than I expected. When playing the demo the interactions is what roped me into actually buying it.

That’s Not My Name - Megan Lally

Just finished this book and I enjoyed it. The twist completely caught me off guard, the ending had me emotional and it was well written. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick & easy read that’s also YA.

Brain radiation

Hi everyone, (I posted in the MBC group as well but wanted to ask here as well in case someone here may know) I had surgery 4/29 to remove a mass that was found in my right cerebellum.

I’ve now met with the radiation oncologist and the plan will be to do 5 rounds of radiation (SRS) in that spot.

If anyone experienced SRS radiation can you tell me how it was for you and side effects?

Another question for anyone with brain mets, how are you doing? How has treatment been for you?

Post surgery pain

Hi everyone. I had a craniectomy on 4/29 to remove a mass found in my right cerebellum. It was found after I went to the er for sharp headaches on my left side (from behind my eye to the back of my head).
I also had edema.

Since the surgery I’ve been having normal recovery pain from what my surgeon/team have told me but starting yesterday I started getting that sharp pain on my left side again. I spoke to the on call neurosurgeon and was told it doesn’t seem to be of concern.

Has anyone dealt with anything similar? Is this a common pain to have?

Hi everyone. I wanted to update from my last post https://www.reddit.com/r/breastcancer/s/zdx3ahPf6J

I was waiting until I finally got home.

I’m so thankful for everyone’s words and support. I hope to continue to be here to support others in the same way. Everyone has been here for me since the start of my battle in 2024.

I had surgery to remove the mass found in my right cerebellum and will have more information on it once pathology gets back to us and to get a treatment plan from my new oncologist/rad onc. I was in the ICU for a night and another regular room after until they felt I was ok to go home. My neck feels like it was run over a few times. But surgeon did confirm this is normal due to placement of my head during surgery and how they cut into muscle.

Again, I’m so so thankful for being part of such an amazing group with amazing people.

Thank you to everyone. If I can answer any questions please let me know.

Hi everyone,

I was originally diagnosed stage 3, IDC HER2+ in August 2024.

I went to the ER with headaches this weekend and found a mass in my brain..I feel silly for asking this in a group where we all need support and kind words..but if anyone can help me relax a bit or even have past experiences to share with me.

I’m having brain surgery in a few hours to remove the mass.

Hi everyone, I’m wanting to update everyone on my last post https://www.reddit.com/r/breastcancer/s/AVrbN6nssq

I got transferred to the new hospital and spoke with a neurosurgeon. The brain mass is 2.4 x 1.7 cm in the right cerebellum with surrounding edema.

The neurosurgeon talked to me about two options..the first being to have surgery to remove the mass and then using radiation after recovery to clean the area. The second option is only doing radiation in hopes the tumor will shrink but a risk they mentioned is that the tumor may swell during radiation.

My family and I do want surgery first because it seems like a better option..I’m overall very concerned of side effects from both, surgery & radiation. It is in a part of my brain that control my walking & vision.

Does anyone have experience or have gone through something similar to this? What option did you choose and what side effects did you deal with?

I’m currently at the new hospital waiting to be admitted. They plan to keep me here until they do surgery on Thursday.

I’m also at DUKE in nc if there are any reviews with them, I always dealt with UNC before this.

Hi everyone. Last night at the er it was revealed that I have a 2.4 x 1.7 cm mass in the right cerebellum with surrounding edema in my brain.

The neurosurgeon I met with gave the two options of surgery then radiation or just radiation in hopes to shrink it.

My family and I are leaning towards surgery to be able to remove the tumor first vs risking it swelling from radiation alone.

Does anyone have experience in a similar situation, or even similar spot in the brain? I’m also concerned about walking, vision and talking after radiation.

My original diagnosis is her2+ & er/pr- stage 3 IDC. Right breast, lymph nodes involved.

Thank you for any information you give me.
