Home after 10 years and could use some suggestions.

Howdy y'all! Been in Jackson, WY for the last 10 years and just moved back to the area.

I forgot all the good eats, and all my favorite bars were getting overcrowded. papa vitos probably still has good garlic knots right?

Also looking for work as a bartender if anyone has suggestions on places to check out as an aging industry guy

I think I'm screwed

Hello Nashville! if anyone is in the STL subreddit you guys might recognize me. I am just a silly guy who's going through a rough breakup and wants nothing more than to make it home and give his mom a hug. i had so much outreach and support from the STL subreddit, it was incredible!

Unfortunately, I am now broken down with a bad alternator and I am once again asking for support. does anyone have an alternator for this bad boy? It's Sunday, pick and pulls are closed. 1999 Ford E-350 5.4

Thank you in advance!

'99 Ford e350 hard shake when braking downhill at speed

rotors seem fine, hard braking on flats at speed is fine no vibration any other time braking.

Today I was braking at around 70mph at a 10% grade and it shook my whole van to the point I thought the wheels were gonna fall off, shaking persisted until I got into the 30s and only when braking. possibly wheel bearings?

Home software

what are you guys using at home for software and logging? I was dealership when I was a kid 20 years ago and got out of the trade fast since everyone that is my current age seemed to fucking hate life. I pretty much just stick to my own cars and neighbors, a "weekend warrior" now. I'd like to log some of the work I'm doing as well as have easy access to torque specs, bulletins, recalls, etc. looking for something free preferably. I'm tired of greasy hands on my phone and have a beater laptop that I would like to use instead

Don't give me the hand on shoulder meme pls

06 tribeca. noise is intermittent. can go days without hearing it. increases frequency at higher roms, but completely disappears when roms are on the way down. can hear the noise at the start of the video and at 9-10s. I was thinking piston slap but that doesn't make sense for it to disappear completely for days in the same condition. so I'm thinking maybe a loose heat shield somewhere? possibly bad engine mount?

Anyone else sick of seeing ps5 controllers?

I'd like to actually watch cool soldering techniques.

My solution would be to have a pro breakdown of soldering the ps5 controllers, what the end result should look like, and common mistakes shown and how to correct, then sticky it and ban further ps5 controller posts.

Ideas on codes for an 06 tribeca?

Just picked up this tribeca for 1k with some codes being thrown. Everything on 1 bank is kind of making me guess at a ground somewhere. Was wondering if anyone has dealt with this before and might point me in a different direction before I start digging. Thanks for the help!

Vet or clean and wrap?

I would normally just take her to the vet right now but it's been one hell of a month financially and we're struggling. Girlfriend's car broke, fixed it and then 2 more things broke, fixed that, went to get a backup car from a friend, he needs to give it to a family member instead, girlfriend just found out she's got cancer, dog got into a trashcan full of grapes 7 days ago and took her to the vet for that, she just got done with a dew claw surgery a month ago that she had ripped half off.

We're so stressed mentally, emotionally, and financially. Do we wait it out to see what happens, or does this look like it needs to be handled by a professional?

Would you take something this messy on?

No after pictures since it was night by time I finished. Did this for a friend, didn't touch the paint other than wash and griots 3in1 since it's so fubar. Tires and wheels got iron remover, full dressing.engine bay detailed. Interior was full scrub with apc on floors, steam, followed by dressing, vlp on backseats, ceramic interior for dash. Didn't touch the front seats other than drill brush and vacuum as my extractor is getting repaired.

All in all, about 7 hours. I've only detailed my own cars but now I have people asking me what I want to do theirs and idk what to say. I wouldn't mind doing one or two of these on the weekend for some extra side cash in this economy. And hopefully get faster with more frequent details that aren't as messy.i know what the rules state, but please help me ballpark a starting point to get my toes wet? Rural Wyoming for location.

Petition to ban AI posts

Title. AI generated posts have no business being here. I'm slowly watching all my favorite subs turn into ai generated garbage. I don't want my bartending shit talk home to be filled with it as well. Garbage, lazy, zero effort.
