Back in the game after fracture...and ready for my second ironman try this year-question about losing running fitness....

So 8 weeks ago yesterday I fracture my 5th metatarsal while doing trail run and training for my first iron man (check my profile to see the injury) but thanks god NEVER stopped cycling and swimming, It never hurted, and I was walking normal always, so everything went very very smooth with recovery .I was more than ready to do my first iron man in austria, I was in PEAK form after years and years of running, trail run, swimming, and months of especific iron man training, I was ready, even did a 70.3 to practice and did a half marathon that same week in 1 hour 38 minutes...well saying all that, yesterday did a 20 minutes run, It felt GREAT, but my legs just felt tired, like I have never run in my entire life, did I just lost all my 8 years of running? Will I be able to return to that level I was in running before the fracture? Did I need to start from 0? Again, I never stopped swimming ( actually yesterday I hit the 100km just this 2026 year) and cycling ( more than 2,600km just this 2026 year) any recommendation of how to get back to my level will be very appreciated, Im already in for iron man cozumel this year, and I want to return stronger than I was before...thanks

Hi! Question about swimming at the beach in victoria

I went to Victoria a couple of years ago, and I'm going again in September for a couple of days. I want to swim at the beach, maybe Willows Beach, because I'll be staying in the Oak Bay area. I need to practice my open water swim for an Ironman I have in November, and where I live, I don't have any beaches. Is it possible to swim there? Are there any restrictions? Is it safe? Thanks for your help. Any recommendations are very welcome (yes I do have a wetsuit)
