Did I make the right choice by picking a new restaurant to meet my estranged relatives who were friendly with my nMom and nDad?
Some family members of mine who I’ve been estranged with wanted to meet up after 2 decades of not seeing them. They were friendly with my late nMom and nDad.
They let me pick the restaurant and the day/time to meet them for dinner, so I chose a restaurant that I haven’t been to before because I didn’t want to take them to my regular/favorite restaurants in case the meeting doesn’t go well and then it’d be triggering after I go there in the future. The restaurant turned out to be so/so. and the dinner was only 2 hours.
Did I make the right decision by taking them to a neutral restaurant that was new to me?
