Sautéing with vegetable broth only- does it have a similar impact as oil/butter?

I don’t want any browning on the onions, however, if that matters.

Why was Japan so much more advanced as a civilization compared to other Asian nations?

To be clear, I’m not defending or glorifying Japanese colonialism or the brutal atrocities they inflicted. I’m just curious why they seemed much stronger and more sophisticated relative to the rest of their continent, which allowed them to impose themselves for decades.

Young Korean women have the highest tertiary-education attainment among OECD countries

In 2023, 76.7% of Korean women aged 25–34 had completed tertiary education, ranking first out of 46 OECD and partner countries measured.

“Tertiary education” includes completed post-secondary credentials such as associate-type programs, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, doctorates, and comparable vocational higher-education qualifications.

@SingleDINKLife talks about how she was cheated on by a white man and apparently that caused her to swear off on men forever

I included the race of the man because she keeps mentioning it and in the comments defends it by saying race matters in everything. I find it pretty amusing how she gets traumatized by a white man and his racist family and then refuses to date another man again. Apparently it was white men or nobody for her.

Unpopular(?) Opinion: food scene is better in the burbs than in Dallas

More variety and diversity of food and more local.

By burbs I mean Carrollton, Plano, Addison, Richardson, etc.
