Why didn't the doctor use his regenerative capabilities to save Jenny? We've seen him be able to transfer it to others like with River and Davros also is there a religion with the doctor after all of that the man who stopped the war and made the planet what it is?

I've noticed in a couple episodes that the doctor has said he done terrible things during the timewar and if I may quote PC "I have done worse things than you could imagine" so do we know what he done other than what he done to the timelords also is there anyway that we are getting a timewar show?

So in the first season with Jack we see him plug the extrapolator into the TARDIS then all the doctor does is point at something and he knows what to do also in Bad Wolf he looks on the screen and can read it so either he is extremely smart or he knows about TARDIS's or timelords so which is it?
