Hi all
My mental health is kinda in the toilet at the moment. I'm looking for recommendations of the sweetest, fuzziest, fluffiest fics you know.
Long, short, oneshot, multi-chapter, I don't care as long as it's fluffy. I don't mind if it's romantic or platonic.
Hit me with them! Thanks in advance, lovely people. 🩷
So on Sunday, I'm going away for a week. I ordered new pants from Amazon to wear while I'm away and they arrived today. I looked at them and thought they surely wouldn't fit, they looked way too small for me. I tried them on, and not only were they not too small, but they were loose to the point of almost being TOO BIG! I was shook. It just goes to show that it really can take a while for your mental image of your size to catch up with reality. I couldn't believe it and almost cried.
I'm currently 180lb, down from 204lb. That's still quite heavy for my height so I still have a way to go (I'm 5'5) but I'm so much smaller and according to the NHS BMI calculator I'm on the edge of breaking out of the obese category. I now don't have to exclusively shop for clothes in the plus size section! I can fit in some straight sizes! Albeit the larger end of straight sizes, BUT STILL!
Idk I'm just so proud of myself today. I'm on meds that make weight loss a bit of an ordeal, so this feels like such a big deal.
Hello all,
I am just coming out of the worst OCD flare I've had for a very, very long time. It's been absolute hell. The anxiety has been constant and unbearable. The anxiety is beginning to lift now and I think I'm over the worst. My OCD symptoms tend to be episodic - I'll struggle really badly for weeks and then it'll fade out.
As the worst of the flare up has passed, I'm unbelievably fatigued. It feels like total exhaustion on every level. My brain feels like it's full of fog and my body feels heavy, like I'm wading through mud. My thoughts are coming slower than usual. It's taken a while to properly write this post because my brain is so exhausted. I need to clean my room and bathroom but I'm just so, so tired.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this easier? I'm not sure what to do to help myself through it.
Thank you for reading.
I got badly triggered last night, the worst time in a very long time. I was hanging out with my brother and his girlfriend, who I'm also good friends with. We were watching TV, and there was a scene where one of the characters was physically assaulted and verbally abused in the exact. same. way I was so many times as a child and adolescent. Nobody knew that scene was coming. It was shocking, and sent me into a flashback.
I couldn't breathe. I was trying to breathe, but I could barely get short, shallow gasps in. I went dizzy and hot and felt like I was suffocating. I couldn't speak, I couldn't tell anyone to turn the TV off. Luckily my brother's gf noticed what was happening and grabbed the remote. They were good with me. I'm grateful.
I've spent all of today filled with anxiety. I know that's normal afterwards. I know it'll pass. But I feel so, so awful. It feels like a small part of me is still back there, when it was happening. I hate this. I hate it.
