First Time Renter

I'm renting for the first time and am nervous about sending money over to someone I've never met in person.

I have had a video call with the landlord and they walked me through the property. I've done as much online sleuthing as is possible and ownership records seem to line up with the person who is renting. I have a lease document as well.

I'm still nervous, however, that they want me to pay through Venmo/Zelle.

I thought KeyCheck was a good way to pay as it only charged the tenant a fee for the payments, but the landlord is telling me that KeyCheck will also end up charging her money...though I can only find online documentation stating the tenants get charged payment fees.

Are there any better ways to pay? Should I pass on this one?

ULPT Request - Overemployed and unqualified co-workers

What are some ways to lay a trap for over-employed co-workers who fabricate their resumes and take the opportunity from somebody else who was actually qualified and looking for just one job?

Engine Assembly Lube or Grease

This is for a 2UZFE with 324k miles.

I had to take out my camshafts to put a speedi sleeve on the sealing surface.

Never done this before, so wondering if I should be using assembly grease or lube on install? I was reading up and it sounds like grease on the cam lobes and buckets and lube on the bearings?

Just wanted to hear what would be best from yall.

Looking for advice for next best steps.

History:

  • Bought new KO3's in 2024 for my 1st gen tundra 4wd.
  • Just rotated after about 14k miles (yes I know i should have rotated sooner but I didn't, so now here we are). I asked them to cross the rears to the front and put the fronts straight back to the rear.
  • During the rotation, also had an alignment done. Tech said they couldn't align it properly because the lower control arm bushings were shot. They still got it in spec though.
  • Immediately after the rotation, a steering shimmy developed around 60 ish mph. It seems to come and go while doing longer turns on freeways. Can't figure out the rhyme or reason.
  • Took it in for a road force balance. They said they got everything to spec. Shimmy still there.
  • Cleaned up the rotor and hub and wheel mating surfaces. Shimmy still there.
  • Drove for another 300 ish miles, shimmy still t
  • Replaced lower control arms and had a realignment. Shimmy still there.

When I got the rotation and the road force balance, they all said the tires looked fine, at least visually and no cupping or uneven wear. All the ball joints, hub bearings, tie rods are all fairly new and OEM spec.

At this point, what do you recommend?

Dealership said they couldn’t align my truck correctly cause the control arm bushings were shot.

So I decided to rebuild the driver and passenger front end at 320k miles. The inner tie rods were also shot and the steering rack was aftermarket and leaking. Hubs were aftermarket and screeching like a mouse. Got new spindles from Fr33lance Fab and a new rebuilt steering rack from them as well.

Cv axles were aftermarket and junk/leaking. Purchased rebuilt Toyota axles from CVJ.

One thing led to another and I ended up deciding to de-rust everything I could get to while it was taken apart. I needle scaled and sanded down to the tightest rust I could without removing too much material. Then I used ospho rust converter. Then used a red scotch brite pad with acetone to remove the ospho residue. Then coated with Speedokote T-Rex 2k primer by brush. Next step is wool wax and putting everything back together.

Next up, de rusting (un-fucking) the cross members and frame rails under the cab and bed. Wish me luck.
