was at the Uppsala show yesterday, and watching Blixa on stage it finally occurred to me: how do they shriek like that? I can get some of it when inhaling but it isn’t as piercing as I’d like, though to be fair I have to hold back, neighbors. I sound more like lene lovich.

(the show was wonderful, I was in the third row, frizzy haired lady with sparkly silver eyeshadow. so wild being so close, and the venue felt wonderfully intimate. the new bassist has got it down, my word.)

So I've been made redundant, currently still working a little longer, then garden leave.

As a key part of the company, HR wanted to inform the rest of the company so they can plan accordingly and transition to using my replacements, which they did. Totally fair.

What they didn't do, is phrase it in any way that indicates that I've been made redundant. I'm being asked why I'm leaving, where I'm going, etc. and I don't know how to answer. Really don't want to jeopardize my severance*, but I'm pissed off that this is being gussied up to appear like it's voluntary when it very much the fuck is not.

I would like some of my colleagues contact info, use them as references, keep in touch etc, which also may spill the beans that I'm not leaving for greener pastures. I know I have a right to do that, but again, asking for references means follow up questions.

I know I have to handle this diplomatically, much to my growing chagrin. But how? I don't want to lie to them, but that severance is needed badly.

Hej, som titeln står, snart uppsagt pga arbetsbrist. Jag trivs med kontorsarbetet men vill inte bli utkastad pga offshoring. Fy fan feels bad man.

Socialpedagog låter ett område som passar mig bra och relatera mycket om. Jag var ett maskrosbarn och gillar att jobba med människor i alla ålder (även tonåringar). Men jag är djupt oroad att skulle läser till nåt som har ingen chans att hitta jobb inom en rimlig tid. Jag måste vara realistisk och inte slosa bort tiden till nån underwater basketweaving-typ grej.

Jag har googlat, läst alla trådar på reddit och flashback men är jävligt osäkert.
