(social life, international community, activities, city vibe, accommodation, etc.)
How is the city itself for students?

**1. Timeline and Winter Intake 2026**

I am planning to submit my applications around **15 June** for the upcoming **Winter Semester**. The programs I have shortlisted are **NC-free** and **English-taught**. Some of the universities I am considering are:

* Hochschule Stralsund

* Technische Hochschule Wildau

* Europa-Universität Viadrina

* Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (OVGU)

My question is: **Am I applying too late?** If I apply by mid-June, receive my admission decision, complete the visa process, and arrange accommodation, would I still realistically be able to arrive in Germany before the semester begins?

**2. Uni-Assist and DigiLocker Documents**

I have another concern regarding my academic documents. I do not have the original physical DMCs (mark sheets) for my **1st and 2nd semesters**, but I do have their **DigiLocker copies**. Additionally, I have:

* An **APS certificate** that includes my 1st and 2nd semester marks and confirms my eligibility for specific bachelor's programs.

* A **bonafide certificate** issued by my college explaining why the official physical DMCs have not yet been provided and stating my semester marks.

Would **Uni-Assist accept DigiLocker DMCs** in this situation, especially considering that the APS certificate already verifies these marks?

**3. VFS Appointment**

Is it possible to **book a VFS appointment for a German student visa without having an offer letter**, or is the admission letter mandatory before securing an appointment?

I would be grateful if anyone who has gone through a similar situation could share their experience. Thank you in advance!
