ICE is now torturing people on American soil, and there are court orders with judges' signatures to prove it.

Credit: The other 98% via FB

So ICE is now torturing people on American soil, and there are court orders with judges' signatures to prove it. A bombshell Guardian investigation just revealed that ICE has tried to force-feed at least ten hunger strikers in detention since Trump took office, strapping them down and pushing tubes through their noses to pump liquid into their bodies against their will.

One Afghan man was force-fed nearly every day for almost six months. By the end he was so weak he needed a wheelchair, frail and hollowed out, while guards restrained him twice a day.

A Ukrainian man with severe bipolar disorder went on hunger strike after the facility allegedly refused to give him his medication. He nearly got the tube too, until his attorney stepped in and stopped it.

A Saudi woman collapsed and was rushed to the ER with malnutrition and starvation. She only escaped force-feeding by breaking down and eating. She is still locked up.

None of these people were convicted of a crime. Immigration detention is civil, not criminal. They stopped eating because it was the only voice they had left, and the government's response was a restraint chair and a nasal tube.

Every serious medical authority on the planet calls this exactly what it is. Torture. The World Medical Association says force-feeding hunger strikers is inhuman and degrading treatment, and is never justified.

And if this feels familiar, it should. These are the same methods that shamed us at Guantanamo Bay, where strikers were strapped into a restraint chair the manufacturer literally called a "padded cell on wheels" and had tubes snaked down their noses twice a day.

Detainees there called it torture, and one described teams of five guards holding him down while it happened. A federal judge even acknowledged the practice looked like a violation of international law. Now that same chair has simply been turned on immigrants who were charged with nothing at all.

And the men running this? Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin mocked the starving detainees, claiming they just wanted their "ethnic right food" and could go home to get it, because "this isn't Holiday Inn." Border czar Tom Homan bragged that ICE would seek court orders to force-feed strikers "if it gets bad enough."

This is your government. Funded by your tax dollars. Deciding that a suffering human being's refusal to eat is a problem to be solved with torture.

The cruelty is not a glitch. It is the whole point. You break a person's body to break their will, and you do it quietly, behind sealed court records, so no one has to watch.

There is no version of a free country that straps a starving person to a chair and forces a tube down their throat to break their spirit.

If we let this become normal, we don't get to call ourselves one anymore.

Leaked video from inside ICE detention | multiple woman report physical & sexual assault by officers and more | this is a dubbed translation followed by the original Spanish video. Should have captions

NOTE: The first half of the video is translated with AI voice dubbing. Unfortunately, the mouths of the speakers were video AI-dubbed as well, making it look potentially fake. This is NOT FAKE. For the true Spanish-language video with Spanish subtitles, see the 2nd half of the video.

This video includes allegations such as ICE/DHS denying medical care for conditions such as renal failure and severed toes. It's very serious, and they are threatening detainees with loss of access to their families and support systems if they speak out.

The most recent Federal Building protest schedule, with some slight changes...

Come out to the Federal Building, where we continue to gather daily to monitor ICE, record and report their movements, and express our First Amendment rights with chalk, flowers, signs, music, spoken word, and whatever else moves us. When ICE is being watched, and when they are forced to come up against resistance, it becomes harder for them to harass and harm our neighbors.

More chalk at the Eugene Federal Building, for Lorenzo Salgado Araujo.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was a father of 3, with no criminal record, in the process of applying for legal status. He was driving to work with his coworkers and brother when ICE ran him off the road and executed him.

ICE used the tired excuse that Lorenzo tried to ram an officer with his car, but the 3 other men who were with him in the vehicle in the vehicle say that never happened. Security-cam footage of the incident does not show any attempted ramming, either.

Lorenzo was not ICE’s target. They didn’t know his legal status when they went after him. They targeted him by his race, and the race of the people in his vehicle, and then killed him in cold blood.

This is what happens when we allow our government to unleash racist, violent, ideologically-motivated gang members on our population. They hired white nationalists to target the people they hate, gave them guns, and assured them the government would have their back, no matter what they did or what laws they broke.

The killings won't stop if we just stay at home and hope for it. A chalk memorial for Joan Sebastián Durán Guerrero at the Eugene Federal Building...

"I tried to stop."

Those were Joan Sebastián Durán Guerrero’s final words, according to witness Daniel Boucher, who overheard his shooting by ICE officer David Brouillette. Brouillette rammed Joan’s car with his own, and then shot at his car four times. He shot 26-year-old Joan in the head in front of his 3-year-old daughter, killing him instantly.

The banners on the Old Federal Building in downtown Eugene

Did some reading up on Freedom 250 (the logo printed on these banners). Apparently, the original 250th celebration was called America250, which was “a bipartisan commission created by Congress in 2016 to honor America’s semiquincentennial…”

In 2025, Trump created his own, separate commission by the name Freedom 250.

Here are some interesting findings about Freedom 250:

- A report issued by Democrats allege that Freedom 250 has become a "hotbed of corruption and self-enrichment" that is exploiting National Park Foundation's charity status to avoid scrutiny and operate outside the requirements set by Congress for semiquincentennial events. The report alleges that the Trump administration has pressured donors to give money to Freedom 250, steered donors away from America250, and sought to exploit confusion about the two organizations. According to the report, some donors who intended to give money to America250 were given bank information for Freedom 250 to funnel their money toward Trump's preferred entity.

- Over the last year, the Department of the Interior funneled at least $68.3 million of taxpayer money to the National Park Foundation, which Freedom 250 is a subsidiary of.

- Freedom 250 has been soliciting donations from corporate sponsors that directly do business with the Trump administration, including Palantir, Boeing, Lockheed Martin and United Health Group.

- According to a sponsorship package described to ABC News, Freedom 250 offers tiered levels of participation ranging from $500,000 to over $10 million. The benefits include VIP event access, branding and speaking opportunities at the July Fourth celebration in Washington, D.C., and invitations to a private reception hosted by President Donald Trump.

- Freedom 250 has mobile “Freedom Truck” museums that have been accused of sanitizing history and centering Christian faith.

- Artists have dropped out of Freedom 250-backed events, citing its “misleading” partisan nature. Young MC, Bret Michaels and Martina McBride publicly withdrew from the “Freedom 250” concert series in Washington, D.C., for example.

Photos of lives lost at the hands of ICE were displayed at the federal building yesterday—the same building where DHS and ICE work together to kidnap our neighbors.

Many of these deaths have taken place at so-called ICE detention facilities across the country. In April 2026, two political scientists—who built a dataset of 150 concentration camp systems since 1896—concluded that the U.S. ICE detention network meets all four criteria of a concentration camp system.

When our neighbors are taken from Eugene, they are transported to the Tacoma, WA North West Detention Center (NWDC) where they face the same inhumane conditions as the facilities making headlines right now, like Delaney Hall in NJ and the Camp East Montana facility in TX. Worm infested food, medical neglect, and violence at the hands of staff are frequently reported.

Deaths in ICE custody are hitting record numbers under the Trump administration. And this doesn’t even include the individuals who are released from custody and die shortly after, because ICE no longer reports on these deaths—a change from the 2021 policy that required ICE to report to Congress and investigate deaths of detainees that occur within 30 days of their release to ensure that ICE could not avoid accountability for deaths by releasing severely ill people from custody.

Not even 1 month ago, Rogelio Bolufé, a detainee at the Tacoma NWDC, helped organize a hunger strike at the facility. 200 detainees were agreed to participate. But then Rogelio and other strike leaders were disappeared by ICE. Their fellow detainees decided against the strike out of fear of retaliation.

It was recently discovered that ICE retaliated against Rogelio Bolufé by deporting him to ECUADOR despite him being from CUBA. When the U.S. ships individuals off to countries they aren’t even from in the first place, they end up stranded without access to housing and health care, and those who cannot access protection as refugees are trapped in a permanent state of legal limbo.

Detainees are hunger striking for their freedom because they have nothing else to lose. They need us.

Come to the Eugene City Council meeting at 7:30 & tell em how you feel about EPD and ICE

There's a City Council meeting tonight at 7:30 PM, at:

500 E. 4th Avenue
Eugene, OR 97401

The City of Eugene has been working with the feds, and the culture of EPD is clearly toxic, racist, and protective of abusers. Things we should all be concerned about:

Here is a look into Eugene Police Department culture (content warning: domestic abuse, racism): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqKaFcpE6Uo

Another video from the body cam of the same officer: https://vimeo.com/1191286275/214be21fdc?fl=pl&fe=sh

EPD has also been working with ICE. They have:

  • Pulled over ICE legal observers to allow ICE cars to get away,
  • Guarded ICE cars as they left the fed building with masked agents
  • Protected federal agents from protesters to allow feds to gas people
  • Protected the fence construction from 20 people with signs
  • Harassed protesters megaphoning at the building while freely allowing bigoted religious hate groups to megaphone at Saturday market

And now this.

Meanwhile, the City of Eugene planning department fast-tracked permits to allow the federal government to install the Federal Building fence. They could have at least issued a resolution to ask the City Manager not to grant them those permits, but they refused to do so.

The City Manager needs to fire Chief Skinner. We can't accept this in our city.

Chief Skinner will be attending tonight's meeting, as a means to intimidate protesters who would face up to him. We need to come out in numbers, because we are stronger together.

Come on out and help hold our city leaders accountable for failing us this badly.

ICE is here in our city. It's still happening here. These photos were just taken at the Federal Building.

Watch for these cars and faces!

How can I help?

What do I do if I see ICE agents in the community?

  • Blow a whistle: 3 loud, sharp blasts
  • Exercise your First Amendment rights and notify your neighbors.
  • Report the following to the MILCER chat administrators and the PIRC hotline (888-622-1510):
    • S- Size
    • A- Activity
    • L- Location
    • U-Uniform
    • T- Time
    • E- Equipment
  • Record them and their activity. If you feel comfortable, follow them, or get close enough to get a better image with as much detail as possible. Share those recordings with MILCER admins, on social media, and any other local groups you are a part of.
  • If you got their license plate, you can check it in this database: https://pdxicescan.com/

We protect us. EPD, SPD and the city are collaborating with ICE, and we can't rely on them. It's up to us to keep our community safe.
