The fact that our national government and a lot of LGUs still prioritize basketball-related projects while watching the success of our non-basketball related athletes just shows how detached they are from the sports community.

Reactionary celebration lang kaya nilang gawin, pag nanalo or nag succeed doon lang magbibigay ng suporta na temporary pero in terms of policies and projects walang gagawin na long term, kung hindi mga basketball court na ginagawa lang parking at isang excuse for substandard shelters.

Pinoy pride na walang equal investment sa athletes.

For Oral Communication and Effective Communication teachers, would you have Claire Castro as an example of a good speaker students can learn from? Like actually show a video of her in your class and let your students make he their role model as a public speaker?

Claire is a government employee, a highly paid one, paid from the taxes of the Filipino people. If she has this position in the PCO, she should be regarded as one of the most effective and eloquent speakers and communicators in the Philippines. If so, balik tas akong question... would you have your students talk and communicate like her?

I'm not being sarcastic here. I'm asking an honest question out of curiosity because I had taught English and Communication arts subjects before, and there were so many instances that I would cite known jousnalists, hosts, and radio commentators as examples my students could learn from. So, mao na. Curious ra. 🤔🤔🤔

Nakakabahala kung nagiging normal na lang ito sa iba. Sana kung may malinaw na paglabag sa batas at animal welfare, may kaukulang imbestigasyon at aksyon.

If the circulating accounts are accurate, the incident began when an intoxicated fan accidentally pulled Maxie’s wig. It’s understandable to be upset if someone invades your personal space or physically grabs you. No one has the right to touch or assault another person.

However, according to those same accounts, the situation escalated when someone who was reportedly not involved was mistaken for the offender and was allegedly assaulted before the actual person responsible was identified.

As a public figure and a role model within the LGBTQIA+ community, shouldn’t situations like this be handled with greater restraint? Shouldn’t accountability, self-control, and respect be the example—especially when dealing with a fellow member of the community?

Pride Month is about dignity, respect, and humanity. Those values should be reflected not only in advocacy but also in how we respond during moments of anger and conflict.

**Actions speak louder than advocacy.**

And then he continued to take her on a world tour, year after year? The balls of this couple to brazenly spend, travel the way they did for as long as they did, spanning multiple presidencies.

• Her first time ever was in 2014, meaning the possibility that she could have ever built a sales profile with Michael Coste at Hermes in France before Chiz Escudero is ZERO. (is that the Faubourg Saint Honore secret VIC garden we see? Vicki Belo, you weren’t joking (start at 12:10))
• She was NOT attending fashion shows in Paris until after meeting Chiz and building up VIC spending to even get invited.
• South China Morning Post even reports that Chiz and Heart would go to stores dropping so much money they were confused for professional buyers for stores. Because they bought so much they were invited to events (the fashion shows…)
• With their continued public flaunting and traveling, Duterte already griped about how the two were flying first class, traveling in luxury despite Chiz being a public servant in 2017. It’s like he predicted this plunder case and corruption scandal years ago.
• In so many photos of the two jetsetting, you can see Heart becoming more and more extravagant with her spending, and Chiz right there with her as she holds shopping bags from Dior, or they’re inside a YSL boutique. Mind you, Saint Laurent didn’t even have stores in Manila until 2014 (so Heart wasn’t shopping real deal YSL until meeting Chiz). 
• Photos in Sydney, Florence, Paris, Japan and more, wearing ever more branded clothes, jewelry, and ever more Hermes bags. 

Do the math. Count the years. Count the days. Count the bags. Ombudsman Remulla, we’re waiting.

Heart Evangelista did not have this lifestyle until after meeting and marrying Chiz Escudero. Oh and before her kulto comes at all of us about that “old money heiress” nonsense:

• Heart’s cousin Happy Ongpauco-Tiu said Heart’s Dad Rey no longer owns any Barrio Fiesta branches. 
• South Morning China Post reports rumors of her branch’s bankruptcy, where even she was in a better position to bail them out. 
• Heart’s family didn’t even own a stake in the Barrio Fiesta Manufacturing Corp that sold to Splash, the same company that created the international bagoong business (that was her Tito Boni’s and her cousins, NOT Rey’s.) 
• They lived far from elite neighborhoods in Carmona Cavite, where their home with a thatched roof burned down. 
• The same year they went to Paris, she was forced to do a Tanduay campaign because “hirap kumita”, a move no alta old money daughter would ever be in a position to do
• Oh, did you forget she never finished high school or went to college, a basic requirement for “old rich” families? Even taking government equivalency test, ALS?
• Don't confuse "Ongpauco" for "Cojuangco". The Ongpauco and Del Gallego families were never considered prominent to the levels of Henry Sy, the Tantocos, the Tan's, the Zobels. Ever see their corporations listed on Forbes? Do you really believe Barrio Fiesta was earning on the same level as Jollibee, Universal Robina, and San Miguel?
• Industry veteran and longtime friend of Heart's, Butch Francisco, says the truth he's known all along. At the peak of the Ongpauco's success, they were only ever "upper middle class."
