IRS sent letters saying I owed from a few years ago and now I suddenly don't

I never owe, I always get a return as someone with low income, but I forgot to file a few years back and they've sent a few letters about it. Getting an old W4 from that old job would be like pulling teeth so I was willing to just pay. I logged into the IRS website at the time and it did say I owed around $1,200 or so. I couldn't pay it right then since I live semi paycheck to paycheck, it took me around a month to collect the money. When I went to look at the balance today it said I owe nothing. I work a job that requires I be in good standing with the IRS so I'm a little nervous about that.

Some additional info that might be relevant: The government severely overcharged me for something years ago and recently contacted me to tell me I was owed a refund for that. It just went through a few days ago but it was far less than what I was expecting (not that I'm complaining). Do you think they just took it out of that automatically without telling me? I hope so, it's what I was going to use that for anyways.

Why is mike nix evil in my game

Mike nix is randomly evil in my game. That combined with being an infectious disease researcher and the way the default replacement hair looks makes him very... evil scientist albert weskerish.

Dog kept eating the packing peanuts

What the title says 😭 the vet laughed and said it's fine so she's safe but jeez.

I was trying to reuse them for something and I hid them 3 times in what I thought were not dog attainable areas but she'd find them and somehow doggie MacGyver them to her to eat one or two. This is especially impressive because she is missing a front leg.

I wonder if they're like cheeto puffs to her??

Anyways, I ended up just throwing them away because she's smarter than me. Pet tax, her name is Elvira.

Body spray closest in smell to intergalactic?

Hello! I recently ordered from lush for the first time (there are none locally!) and I loved absolutely all of it! I got the sticky dates lotion, the avocado co-wash body spray, the dirty body spray, and finally the intergalactic glitter spray. I REALLY love the smell of the intergalactic glitter spray! It's so comforting.

Are there any body sprays that have a similar smell/vibe as it? The glitter is beautiful but I can't just spray it willy nilly everywhere!

Best blackjack and baccarat games on steam or android to learn with, no real money

Hello! I recently got a job in casino surveillance and need to learn many games, the most important being blackjack and baccarat. Craps as well, but that seems very easy to learn. I do NOT want to use ANY real money, I don't actually gamble. I saw the list of recommended gambling apps but they all seem to use real money. Any recommendations for free games to learn with that do not use real money? EDIT I should specify I don't mind paying for the initial purchase of the game itself, I just don't want to gamble with real money.

Please don't criticize them for hiring someone that doesn't know how to play casino games, they're learnable and there are other reasons I was hired.

Best smelling all purpose face creams?

Hello! I'm nearing 30 and have finally decided I should probably care. My skin is like titanium, it is NOT sensitive so I do not need something ultra gentle or anything. I would prefer something under $50.

My main concerns are evening skintone (is that even possible?), the occasional pimple, and my big two: smelling good (fragrance is great!) and forehead dryness. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Should I switch jobs to be a casino surveillance worker?

Hello! I currently work in research and development at a manufacturing plant making $19 an hour.

I used to enjoy my job and I love my coworkers but due to a recent change in production the work has gone up by approximately 300%, this is not an exaggeration. They've also recently switched benefits to something that everyone hates and they didn't give bonuses this past December because of profit issues despite bragging about it being an extremely profitable year. They gave insulting yearly raises and long term employees were either fired for bogus reasons or didn't get a raise at all. There are only 2.5 people in my lab including me and management has dropped the ball heavily. They're overworking my specific lab to death, demanding we work 6-7 days a week, and being extremely standoffish and entitled while doing so. They barely manage other than to yell at us because they don't actually know how any of the testing works. They do not accept when we refuse to come in on days off no matter how important the reason is and both of my coworkers are currently looking for other jobs.

I loved the job because of the benefits, the consistent hours, being paid weekly, and hour long lunch break.

I have been given an offer letter for a position in casino surveillance today. It would be $16 an hour, so a pay cut. I would be fine with this if I knew how cutthroat the job actually will be, if I'm jumping from one boiling pot to a different boiling pot it wouldn't be worth it. I don't know much about that particular job in terms of stress or overtime. I got the offer today so I need to make a decision on whether to turn in my two weeks today or not. Part of me wants to stick it out in case it gets better but I feel like it will not due to the changes.

Should I switch?
