Nikon ZR + Zeiss Otus ML 35mm

Made this music video by myself. So I wanted to make it myself as easy as possible. Got me a small carrying car on wheels where I put on one smal 200w light and that was it. Shot everything on one lens at 5.6 and above. Only the bedroom scene that was light harsh was at 1.4.

6k Red raw.

Lenstest I did. Feels like, I could be wrong, this subreddit understands me.

So......

Bought the Nikon ZR and wanted to see what lenses are the most cinematic in a 80's Russian cinematic way. So everything is shot a cinematic fstop 6.0 in cinematic 6k Raw 25fps. Iso 6400. Mind blown.

The Leica is the clear winner ofcourse. Walter Mandler send me this lens but this post is not sponsored so it's my own opinion. That said. The Leica Summicron will be the last lens you will ever buy this week.

The EU AI Act starts in August: Will this save the market for videography? I think so.

Starting August 2nd, in the EU, every AI-generated image must be labeled. Both visibly to the public and with an invisible synthetic watermark. The potential fine is up to 15 million euros. The official deadline for software providers to have this fully integrated is in December, even just using Generative Fill in Photoshop falls under this.

Since AI-generated images look more and more like the real thing, actual photos and videos will soon need to be equipped with authenticity certificates to prove they aren't fake. (Which my Sony cameras have luckily been able to do for two years now via C2PA).

Honestly, I'm glad I haven't sold all my camera gear yet.haha. I'm really curious to see what this means for all those advertising agencies that went all-in on AI. What premium brand wants a mandatory "AI stamp" (on their campaign? Especially with the current public sentiment around AI.

I feel like genuine, verifiable imagery and the craft of actually shooting something is about to become a high-end luxury product again.

How do you guys see this? I at least am very happy and see a future again for my line of work.

FF 8nm to 18nm worth it?

Now on a Fanatec 8nm DD wheelbase and wondering if it's worth it to upgrade? I only play AMS2 and sometime AC with content manager. Is there a big difference or just overkill?

Nikon ZR first time shooting

Coming from a fx9 and always loved that image quality I recently bought a Nikon ZR. For a, no budget, music video I decided to leave my fx9 at home and only use the Nikon ZR.

The concept was simple. Testing all the new gear I recently bought. :)

It was a gaffer and me. Using only a maximum of two smal light sources. Aperature Storm 700 and a spotlight. (don''t know the name)

Very nervous about how the Nikon ZR would perform and how it would perform with iso800 and a bit of under exposing. But very pleased!

The fx9 will stay in my bag for these types of shoots. Just so much fun having everything light weight.

In post I added "some" dehancer grain.

Lenses used per shot are in the image description.

Bye Sony

Into the Sony ecosystem for more then 15 years now. Yesterday was the moment I would decide if I would switch to Nikon. The a7R6 announcement made me decide to buy the Nikon Z8 as my second camera behind my Sony a1. Mostly because of the video codecs Sony is lacking. Nikon has so many great flavors. Prores, N-Raw etcetera.

The Nikon z8 will replace my a7iv for gimbal work and hobby photography. The e-mount to z adapter made this all possible for me. I only shoot manual focus so autofocus for me was never a thing.

Very curieus how the video quality of the Z8 is. What I am seeing online is that it looks great.

Anyone allready made the switch? Very curieus how it went for you.
