Just realized my dad has been shit talking me behind my back my entire life

Basically the title. I'm in my late 20s, so this has been going on since my teens probably. I don't know why I thought I was immune to his negativity - he's always shit talked my sister, my mom, my other family members, his friends. Everyone in his life.

My mom is in a nursing home (she 100% needs to be) and I am her chosen health surrogate and power of attorney, so I make all of the decisions surrounding her care. My dad hates this and is constantly telling her that I don't know what I'm doing, among other things. As she's gotten older and sicker, my mom doesn't hide things anymore. After he visited, she immediately called me and told me everything that he said. She doesn't want to see him and can't stand him.

I'm just numb I guess. I've always known he was spineless and is the most negative person I've ever met. I don't really know how to proceed. I don't want to burn bridges because he's my dad, but he's just constantly playing the victim and I can't do this anymore. He isn't in good health at all and probably doesn't have much longer left but I'm exhausted.

Community garden

Have any of the neighborhoods in Lowell ever had a community garden? I saw one in Concord yesterday and remember there being one in East Boston when I lived there.

It would be a cool project and even help feed unhoused persons and be a good opportunity to teach gardening and landscaping skills.

Father to a Son is such a beautiful song

It really makes you think about how much BJA has grown as a person since the early days. Going from letting drugs consume his life to getting sober and still being here for his family. It makes me feel really proud of him.

What's going on above The Hive?

The lights are always on at night, but I've never seen anyone inside unless they're renovating. Are they turning them into apartments or something?

Independent nail techs

Looking for a new indie nail tech in Lowell, preferably downtown. I've decided to distance myself from the tech I've been seeing due to some bad vibes 😔

I would really like someone younger 20s-30s who's been established for a few years. If they're just getting started that's okay, as long as the quality is good and the price is right.

The Reverend

My apartment has a bulletin board that people put pictures on their pets on. The Reverend here blesses me every day.

My husband and I are planning a gathering for friends and family in early June. We're looking at a few places (Bayview, Sanders Beach) but in case those are booked, what are some cheap/free places that we could have a gathering of ~50 people?

I want to avoid parks if possible bc they need to be wheelchair accessible. The beach is also ruled out for this reason, unless the gazebos don't need to be rented.

Unpopular opinion but just rinsing your vulva with water is not doing anything to help with the odor. I've seen a lot of discourse about what kind of feminine wash to use, if any, and erred on the side of caution and listened to the "water only" crowd.

Welp, I thought I was doing everything right but the cooch smell wouldn't go away. I gave in and used my face wash, just to see what would happen...

...and like magic, the odor is gone and I feel way cleaner. I feel so gross that I wasn't doing this all along bc the idea of putting ANY kind of soap anywhere near my nether regions terrified me.

All of this to say, your down-belows aren't going to shrivel up and die because you wanted to use soap. Unless you've been medically instructed not to, it's your body! Whatever works for you, works for you.

And to stave off all of the "but don't put it IN your vagina!!" comments, I know!
