Saw this funny thing in the sky earlier today. Do you think someone’s practicing? Do they get hired?

Purpose of Stud Within Pack. New Player Question

Hello, I was hoping you could all help me understand the purpose of a stud when I am not trying to use him with other players.

My lead and breeding male will be dying soon so I’m preparing for that. I know none of my males are seen as desirable by the overall community. They are either too high gen or do not have enough rare markings. Currently I’m trying to breed a tier 3 or special base male but they’ll all have too high gens so I know it won’t work out.

However, within my pack, I know that the breeding male can be used with all of my females. I’m wondering the best strategy for this because I would want to create a bunch of half siblings and the have to stud out or purchase more males. How do you all navigate this?

Thanks!

Why did you choose to own multiple geckos?

For those of you who have multiple, what’s your motivation? I’m curious to hear all the reasons someone might own more than one crested or reptile. I’m about to get my second! Please share photos :)

For me, I don’t ever plan to breed geckos. I got a second because the care is relatively the same and I love my first one so much that I’d love to see what it’s like with a new guy. I’m excited to get to know his personality and I loved designing his new bioactive. I want to enrich their lives :)

Bioactive for my 2nd Gecko!

Just finished my bioactive for my second gecko! I’ll be getting him at the end of the month so these plants have time to establish. Super psyched. The photo on the right is my current bioactive for my first gecko. The plants shrunk when I transplanted them & moved, but the pothos is beginning to stretch up which will increase the cover soon! There’s also a plant behind the thermometer that I had to prune back. I’ve definitely learned a lot from my first one

Sacramento, CA. Abandoned towns w/in 3 hour drive?

Lately I’ve been really wanting to visit some abandoned towns to see what they’re like and how they’ve remained. I’ve never been to one but am willing to park someplace and hike to get there. I learned about Irmulco, CA, recently and I think it’s super interesting that these company-based logging towns faded away and were left there in time. Does anyone know of any I can visit to walk around that are around Sacramento, CA? Ideally closer but I can drive up to 3 hrs away to visit them.

Thanks!

Coast Starlight to Dunsmuir - Local Attractions w/o a Car?

Hi all, please let me know if this isn’t the best place to post this. Dunsmuir doesn’t have a local subreddit and I know this is more of a tourism question.

My friends and I are planning a winter trip taking the Coast Starlight to Dunsmuir. We plan to stay inside most of the trip but I’m wondering what local attractions we can visit while in town. Would it be recommended for one of us to drive up so that we have access to a car? I’m not able to find any information on bus lines and I don’t think hiking will be great in December. We plan to book a stay in walking distance of the station so we can carry luggage but I’m wondering if it’s better to have a car so we can drive our things to a place a little further away (I doubt we’d find a 5am or midnight Uber lol). The only issue is none of us have driven in the snow before.

Thanks!

Stuffed Pink Bunny

I am looking for this bunny that was given to me when I was an infant. I was born in 2002 in California (I can specify the city if it’s helpful). It is a mother bunny with a baby bunny. When the baby bunny is pulled, the mother bunny vibrates, moving both along a surface (it’s a pull toy connected by a string). It has a dark pink foil on the ears.
