Hi! I’ve been diagnosed with endometriosis via laparoscopy, and during an ultrasound pre diagnosis my gyno said she suspected adeno from the boggy look. I’ve now had an mri done and it shows deep pelvic endometriosis, and when asking my excision specialist if we could rule out adeno he said it doesn’t look like a textbook photo that he’d show students, so he didn’t think it was fully adenomyosis? He said that it didn’t not look like it, but it didn’t look overtly like it. When I asked if there was any more imaging we could do so I could have more information to make decisions down the line, he said it wouldn’t be worth any more imaging. Is this true? Would it really not be worth it to look any further? How do you really get diagnosed with adeno and how do you know for sure? He seemed very dismissive of my concerns so I’m getting a third opinion, if anyone has any advice for imaging or ways to tell if I have it, id really appreciate it because I want to know if a hysterectomy would be beneficial for me down the road. I just want to know more about what’s causing my daily pain :(

Hi! This is kind of a longshot I’m not sure if anyone has tried this yet, but I came across herbal cigarettes that have a blend of red raspberry leaf and a few other herbs. Could smoking red raspberry leaf help with pain or is it only in tea form that attributes its pain relief? Just curious! Interested in trying new forms of pain relief.

Hi! My insurance company is absolutely useless and cannot help me find an excision specialist in my area because and I quote “our filters don’t include endometriosis so I cant find anyone” so does anyone have any tips other than just googling? I’m not finding anyone in my area that accepts BCBS I don’t know what else to do I’m hitting a wall and need help. Can someone also explain to me why so many specialists don’t take insurance at all? It doesn’t make sense to me. I’m located in northern NJ. Please reach out if you have any advice :,)

Hi! Im interested in a hysterectomy for a lot of reasons, I have confirmed endo that I’m planning to get excised by the end of the year, and potential suspected adeno which I will know more about after my MRI tomorrow morning. My question is how hysterectomies affect people at a younger age, I’m 22 years old. Up until my most recent appointment with my new specialist, doctors brushed off my interest in hysterectomy by saying I may want kids in the future or my partner might. I’ve made it clear I’m a lesbian with no intention of having kids naturally or at all really, so that drawback doesn’t matter to me. I’m more interested in the physical and mental issues it can cause. My new specialist told me there may be problems if I went through with it so young, like potentially more pain, bone loss or even early dementia? Is this true? I just want to be educated, he said it’s my decision at the end of the day and I want to make the right one for my body. I’m in pain every day of my life and I need it to stop, I can’t work I lost my job last October and my life has gone down the drain since. I just need some advice and kind words I think.
