Latest App Update

Ever since the last update I have to constantly close and restart app to actually see offers because the main screen just sits there spinning its wheels, like I have a bad internet signal. Except I don’t. Full bars 5G+ and this is the only app I’m having problems with.

Affecting anyone else!?

Hmmmm Interesting…

So, turned down an offer last night. Shopping offer for $18 going less than a mile. 19 items for 149 quantity. No tip ( it was a daycare).

This morning I take a delivery paying $24. Curbside less than one mile. 9 one gallon lemonade and 3 boxes of spaghetti noodles. $16 tip. Same daycare, same person on both orders.

Now, why would they tip for a small delivery and not for a large shop?

You can’t convince me Walmart isn’t still fucking with the tips

App Update Issues

Ever since I updated the app, it seems to get stuck at the offer screen and nothing pops up and I have to continually close and restart the app.

Is anyone else having the same sort of issues? It’s like the Internet is hanging but it’s the only app that’s having an issue. I’m on an iPhone 16 Pro.

What’s Your Max?

What’s your max miles you’ll go? Mine is 10 miles one way.

I’ll pretty much do anything that’s under 3 miles unless its crazy

App - Waiting at Curbside

They need to show us the addresses when we’re waiting at curbside. We can look at the order, why not the addresses?

Cancelling Curbside

Been waiting for 35 minutes for them to bring my order. Safe to cancel now without it affecting my metrics?

Spark - OnePay?

I currently drive for Spark on evenings and some weekends. I've always had them deposit the money into my checking account which is done on a weekly basis.

On my Walmart app, they were advertising OnePay to get 5% cash back for every Walmart purchase, so I applied for their credit cash rewards car. I have a credit limit and have already used the card for my first Walmart purchase and did receive my 5% cash back.

Since I have the credit card, I'm thinking about switching my deposit account for Spark Driver to the OnePay.

I"m guessing having the OnePay cash rewards credit card is different than a OnePay account to deposit earnings to??

I have to admit, the whole OnePay thing is kind of confusing.

When I go to the Spark and change direct deposit account, It pops up a screen telling me to apply and then some things about Builder Card. I don't need a credit builder card. Is that the only way to get Spark earnings deposited after each trip?

Garage Door - Chamberlain

I made the mistake of replacing my 12 year old LiftMaster with a Chamberlain that has security+ 3.0 (white learn button).

Background: I'm an iPhone user and have the Chamberlain home bridge (the latest one before they discontinued the product). Anyway, it worked well with my old garage door opener (Security+ 2.0 - yellow learn button).

Anyway after I installed it, learned that the new security 3.0 basically shut down smart home integration.

Soooo, I'm deinstalling it and taking it back to the store and looking to get a Genie. I know that Genie doesn't manufacture a bridge to use their openers in HomeKit, so I'll be looking at getting Meross MSG150HK (since that model doesn't require the installation of an additional door sensor).

Does anyone know if the Genie 7155-TKVE works with the newer Meross (MSG150HK) without the need to install the door sensory accessory??

Splitter/Attenuator - Yes or No?

Looking at my current cable modem levels:

Downstream Power: ranging from 4.6 - 6.3 (as the day warms up my downstream power levels will drop a 2-3 of dB)

SNR: ranging from 38.6 - 40.4

Upstream Power: 36.3 and 36.5

First, let me say that I haven't had any problems (that I know of) with my internet access. Looking at my modem logs, it looks like I get a quick T3 timeout a couple of times a day, but haven't noticed that it's causing any issues or anything.

My modem is an Arris Surfboard S33v3. I currently DON'T have any splitters or attenuators installed right now.

Would you just leave as is or install a 3dB attenuator?

Switching to OnePay?

I’ve always had my spark money directly deposited into my checking account at my bank. I just got a OnePay card so I can get the 5% cash back at Walmart.

Anyway, has anyone switched their direct deposit from their bank to OnePay and had any issues?

We use the Spark money for vacations and having deposited into a separate count sounds good to me. Any advantagr or disadvantage from using onepay account to receive?

I Giggle A Little

I giggle when I see an offer pop up going .7 miles for $18 and it disappears in a nano second because the driver didn’t pay attention to the estimated time of 57 minutes.

Then I laugh when it pops back up because the idiot who accepted too quick just hurt his/her completion rate after they dropped it.

Are You Effin’ Kidding Me?

Took a delivery that had GMD orders mixed in with grocery order containing perishables. While I was able to get it delivered before the cold chain timer ran out, I noticed, when I completed the pick up, had a drop off time estimated 1 minute PAST the auto cancel.

What the hell walmart? This isn’t difficult. Stop scheduling deliveries containing perishables as the last stop!!!!!!!

Completion Rate? Glitch? New Policy?

Apparently, according to the app, my completion rate is at 99%, except I haven't cancelled any deliveries that I started.

Yesterday, there was one order I accepted that a cancelled BEFORE I started the trip. Only one.

Is Walmart now counting cancelled trips before you press "start trip" against your metrics?

Tip for iPhone Users

If you use an iPhone for Spark and in between orders, you use the phone to watch YouTube or browse the internet or whatever and then go back to the Spark app when you get a banner saying there’s a new offer to check out, make sure you have prioritize notifications turned OFF (at least for Spark).

With notification prioritization turned on, by the time you get that banner so you can swipe back to the Spark app, The offer is already been up and most likely already snagged by someone else so you never even get a chance to see it.

By turning off the notification prioritization the banner gets there a few milliseconds before the offer pops up and you have a snowballs chance in hell to see the offer and accept it.

Test it out for yourself. Make sure prioritization is turned on pull up the spark app stare at it. You’ll see an offer pop-up and most likely disappear rather quickly and then the banner show up notifying you of an offer. Turn it off then you’ll be able to see that the banner shows up a few milliseconds before the offer pops up to accept.

With notification prioritization turned on, the iPhone analyzes the notification and decides if it should be made a priority above other notifications or not. the time it takes for the iPhone to analyze the notification an offer has already popped up and most likely already got snagged by another driver.

****edit****
I just learned that this setting is only available on iPhone 15 Pro and newer.
