Maple sticking her face in the camera

I wonder why she does this. I'd guess it's probably attention-seeking since she always wants to be petted, or maybe she's curious about the phone. She's a total sweetheart and this is a pretty funny behavior of hers

A well-recognized part of the family

This is Puppy (terrible name, I know, I was a toddler when I got her). She's been a part of the family for most of my life. And I really do mean part of the family!

I took her everywhere as a kid and still take her on trips. She's slept with me every night for 19 years. Both my parents recognize her importance to me and consider her part of the family. My bedtime stories featured her as a main character. Even my extended family- grandparents, cousins, etc- are aware of Puppy's cultural presence. They used to ask how Puppy was doing if she wasn't with me when I'd visit.

She's gone through a lot of physical changes, and also outfit changes. Unfortunately, her stuffing has moved to the point where her proportions are super weird, so getting her clothing is difficult. I'm keeping an eye out for potential outfit options!

Anyway, Puppy's pretty raggedy but she's still my buddy, and undeniably family :)

Pokemon teams for various holidays

Silly thought, what if I assigned some holidays their own Pokemon teams?

Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur are typically paired so I did so here as well. They get a Combee to represent honey and a Dipplin for the apples dipped in it, a Dubwool representing the shofar, and Dachsbund as tashlich bread. I couldn't find a Pokemon to represent t'shuvah so I put Blissey for chesed because it is described as a very kind Pokemon, and I finished it off with Mega Medicham to represent the meditation done on Yom Kippur.

Chanukah gets Ampharos to represent light, Wyrdeer to represent the menorah (it's old and its antlers resemble the menorah), Cryogonal for winter, Arboliva for olive oil, Sylveon for the joy of Chanukah, and Mega Chandelure for the Chanukiah. Sylveon's here because its ribbon feelers can bring joy to people that they touch, and everybody enjoys Chanukah.

Then for Purim, I had to start with Mimikyu. This Pokemon disguises itself as the mascot of the franchise, Pikachu, so it fits perfectly with the costume holiday! I also added Mr. Rime, the comedian Pokemon, because Purim is a silly holiday. Vespiquen the queen bee represents Queen Esther and Honchkrow with its big hat represents Haman. Then I finished it off with Alcremie for the holiday sweets and Gigantamax Snorlax as me when I eat too many hamentaschen.

If anyone finds this amusing, I might do a part 2 with Passover, Sukkot, etc.

Dreamt that Google Maps added friend location-sharing features like Life360, and the mascot for the update was anime girl Slenderman

Basically you could set people as friends and then track them on the map, like Life360. You could also save locations as their home and auto-navigate to those locations.

Anime girl Slenderman was literally just Slenderman with long white hair, she'd follow your icon on the map. She kinda resembled the way Pokemon run after you on the map in Pokemon Go.

[TOMT] [Poem] Found this odd poem in my photo gallery, no idea where it's from, Google had nothing. I definitely did not write it, who did?

I can't add images, the original is a screenshot from a website I don't recognize. I'll transcribe it here:

"Hemingway."

Hemingway's job is simple: each evening he must find a new way to cut off his hands before he can manage to haul his sweating, steaming body to the typewriter again. He loafs in a reflecting pool, the warm swimming hot on his skin, wet like lips on the hair of his beard, he trembles. He is so alone. Feeds the cats on tadpoles and mayfly larva. Feeds on the cats. So deeply alone. If he writes another book, he will draw that loneliness in roman-a-clef and the ensuing book will unshackle his lower jaw from his head. So he cuts off his hands each evening before he lays his hero fingers on the keys.

Tonight he has hired a pit-fighter from a mail-order-catalog. He lunges lean, his knife is sharp, he moves on the pinky, the index, Hemingway's calloused thumb with which he had felled antelope, bull, buffalo. His hands which have driven ambulances, written myths, are hewn before they have dragged the sweating, fearing bulk prolapsed to them from the reflecting pool. The fighter is a boy, a beautiful boy. He will build a house of planks out on a sandbank, after this. So he hopes. The hope drains from his neck, it drains from the firm tip of a blade- a second pit-fighter, ordered by the hands. The two men saw at each other, feed at each other. Old Hemingway feeds his cats, his hands, those lonely hands muttering and waiting for to write their shotgun book at long and gentle resting last.

There might be more to it, I have no idea. This is what was in the screenshot. If anyone recognizes this piece, I'd love to know who wrote it.

What kind of scissor is this?

I found this scissor in an art studio and I think it'd be really helpful for my collaging projects. What is it called? I want to buy one for myself.

Is this cover AI? I know the visuals are, but I'm unsure if the cover audio itself is.

This is a cover of the infamous lost media song "Ulterior Motives". I'm unsure if it is AI or not- the visuals definitely are, and the vocals are slightly inconsistent with the original lyrics in a few spots. The vocals also have that metallic sound that's associated with Suno. I'm not experienced enough with AI music to tell.

I couldn't find any info on the artist anywhere, all of their platforms have no info about them, meaning no credited vocalists... that's a red flag too.

My Thorn mii :)

She's a lesbian solely due to the fact that the only straight man on the island is Sans Undertale, and she deserves better.

I created her and within five minutes she decided Ragatha (TADC) was her soul mate. Ok girl. She then fumbled so hard I cringed irl.
