Grunts* in approval.

There are moments in a man’s life where we see things clearly for the first time. I believe this is one of them. Grunt if you approve.

A man’s obsession personified.

My 4x4 Toyota sunrader and my 12 year old son’s concession trailer (hunter compact)

Found out about these things called sunraders and i became instantly obsessed. As a huge Toyota guy with land cruisers (80 & 100), 4x4 Toyota van, tundra & tacos.. The very thought of a micro mini 4x4 fiberglass RV…

So this is 12 years in the making. Made a million mistakes along the way, taught myself and son how to paint, bodywork. I’m just a dad that has learned a ton from restoring these campers.

Interior is NOT finished, just excited to get these two hooked up together for a photo.

Got into restoring fiberglass campers over 12 years ago. Love Toyotas… electrical, welding, carpentry, fiberglass, paint and body, hvac, plumbing…

drugs would have been cheaper.

Never did i think i needed a parachute until now…

Dad camping with 3 toddlers is difficult enough. I bought a 80 series Land Cruiser and a super cute uhaul ct13 camper. Turns out everyone wanted to look inside and inquire about the camper. My beautiful wife was dealing with postpartum depression, so dad came up with the idea of taking the kids on the weekends.

This camper got so much attention i decided to paint it black killing the cute factor. Well now you need shade because it will absorb uv and heat the Lil egg up.

So here’s my cheap solution for shade. Decommissioned military parachute.

I bought a 95 Land Cruiser (also my 100series later) and a 1984 uhaul ct13 to take my kids camping (4,2, &1 year old) This was my solution for my wife having postpartum depression. Kids and i would go up jnto the mountains, lose cell phone reception, wifey had a quiet house. She missed us and was thankful for the break. Dad got his peepee played with by mom after we got home, rinse and repeat.

So if any dad is struggling right now, high recommend just getting you and the kids outdoors. It worked to save my marriage and most importantly my kids childhood versus what was inevitably a divorced trajectory if i had not.
