So, what’s up with spoilers?

Back in the day when GoT was going on, even in the later seasons, spoilers were sacred and I remember people would get *fucking pissed* about them. You could lose friends over it lol.

Despite this sub having a rule about spoilers, in the community overall it seems like people just don’t care at all and the rule isn’t really enforced.

When did that change happen, and why?

I don’t really like when songs and poems start with “And”

And I get it, like, it’s a handy rhetorical device to throw off the audience and get them interested in your first sentence. But somehow, it just bugs me in that strange, pervasive, opaque way… like hearing nails on a chalkboard or seeing a manhole cover with a road marking on it but it’s rotated wrong so the road marking doesn’t line up with the markings on the asphalt.

This is not a serious thing. But it’s been on my silly little mind lately.

I don’t get it. I know sometimes there are shows and movies and such where taking the sides is part of the fanfare, but I really just don’t get it with this one. The whole story is about how these two factions emerge for unfortunate reasons and spend years being awful to each other and everyone else and then ultimately wreck a dynasty, right? It’s a great story! It’s fun! They’re both terrible and it’s exciting to watch them be terrible with dragons! But there’s like, so obviously not a moral winner.

Do folks really not see it that way?
