I want to maximize the quack in my Strat

I'm currently running SA/SA/85 and while I like the way Position 2 sounds, the Position 4 sound lacks the quack I want to hear from that mode.

I was planning on getting an 89 to replace the 85. My question is, should I go with the 89 or the 89R to maximize the quack?

For those of you that run an HSS strat with an 89, does the pickup auto switch to single coil in 4th position or is this something where I need to have it set in single coil mode at all times and use the push pull to switch to humbucking.

Does anyone remember this shrimp commercial from the 2000s?

Does anyone remember a commercial that used to air in the early 2000's that was talking about shrimp and they'd say something like "right there in your gumbo" or something along those lines. I don't remember much more than that, unfortunately. It's sort of lived in my head rent-free since then and I'd like to see it again.

I grew up in Frederick if that helps.

[Low Profile] Kick75 with Black Keycaps

I'm a huge fan of 2000's era Mac products and tried to get my keyboard as close to that aesthetic as I could, while also keeping some of the charm of the original. These are the WoB set from Nuphy: https://nuphy.com/products/wob-bow-nsa?variant=41783344431213

I wish I could get the knob in black, but alas I don't have access to a printer. I may just try spray painting it with a matte black. Or maybe not, I don't know.

In clamshell mode, do peripherals need to be connected directly to the MacBook?

I recently bought the Asus ProArt 5K monitor for use with my M1 MacBook Pro. I used a friends and liked it a lot, so got one for myself.

I love the retro style Apple keyboards and mice, so I was wondering if it’s possible for me to just plug my 2000s Apple Pro keyboard and mouse into one of the available USB ports on the monitor and call it a day, or do peripherals like that need to be connected to directly to the Mac.

I plan on using my MBP in clamshell mode and just tuck it away on the shelf beneath my monitor.

Thanks!

my god, if you are clearly about to win because I have nothing in hand or on the field, you do not need to keep chain summoning for another 3 minutes. I'm one Doomdog away from losing, just get on with it.

My children in christ, if I have 400 LP and nothing on the field or in my hand while you have four 3000+atk monsters summoned, you do not need to keep chain summoning shit for another 3 minutes. Just kill me already. This is my hot take.

I don't usually like to surrender, especially at the end because I like to let duelists have their moment, but damn.

2020 A2338 Macbook M1 blank screen, system works and responds, just no image showing on the display

Fell asleep watching YouTube and woke up to a black screen with a YouTube video still playing in the background. I could hear sound and interact with system, but I can't see a thing. When I fell asleep, I had the brightness down to its lowest setting, just before the screen turns off. This happened previously, under the same circumstances, but I was able to get things back to normal with just a simple restart.

The backlight is working as it responds to my lowering and raising the brightness. I've tried restarting a number of times and still nothing. I'm able to turn on Voice Over Assistant and navigate around the computer with that; logging in - opening shit. That all works. I just have a blank screen.

I tried plugging it into an external display, but still had the same black screen. Though, I didn't try closing the macbook while it was connected to the display. I'll try that when I get home.

Weirdly, sometimes when I close the laptop and then open it back up, I can see a flash of my desktop show up, but then it goes back to black.

I'm hoping I don't have to replace the entire display, but I'm pretty confident in my ability to do so if the need arises. Any other ideas what it could be or how to reslove it?

I started my weight loss journey about a month and a half ago, give or take. I joined weight watchers after a friend joined. I wanted to be there for them in order to encourage, uplift and support them along the way. We could do that for each other.

I had pretty bad eating habits previously. I ate a lot of fast food, snacked on sweets often and didn't drink much water. Exercise? What's that? Since joining WW I'm down almost 30lbs and it feels pretty surreal. I didn't think something like that would be possible with just a diet change.

The app has helped me be accountable and more conscious about what I eat. I'm not always great about logging my points, but I keep them in the back of my mind at all times. I started at 277lbs, and now I'm down to 250. My goal was to get to 200, but I think I'm gonna push that closer to 185/190 as that's what I should be at according to my height and stuff.

Not everything I eat is super healthy, either. Once in a while I'll just have a chocolate chip cookie or some ice cream. The big change is how much of those I eat and the frequency. Before WW I would have like 5 cookies in a night or like a pint of ben and jerry's. Now, I have 2 or 3 cookies for the week. And a single scoop of ice cream. I don't eat this stuff regularly, either.

I'm still not exercising at all, but the same friend that I started WW with has joined and I'm probably gonna join for the same reasons i joined WW; to support, uplift and encourage.

That's my story so far. It's not exciting, but it's a big deal for me. I spent 40 years just not caring about my weight or thinking that I'd even be able to lose much. Now it feels attainable.
