Pumpkins nest

Pumpkin is a house pigeon. She isn’t quite one and I found her under a car with a sore foot. I didn’t think she’d make it but here we are.
Her nest is stupid in maximalist. There are 30 odd small bulldog clips in here and who knows how many pipe cleaners.
The pics are over three weeks of her just adding pipe cleaners. I just let her go because it’s good exercise

Hormones for pigeons

I took pumpkin to the vet and she suggested a hormone shot. She said the egg laying is hard on her and lessening it would be good for her. I took her nest and all. Another pigeon owner has said not to do this! It’s fine for pumpkin to have her monthly routine…. Help! Discussion and information so welcome. I’m feeling so awful. I gave her nest back and she seems happier. She isn’t in it but more settled. Thank you pigeon family. I need help.

Pumpkins nest!

She has laid three clutches and just adds to her tower! She has probably 50 small bulldog clips in there and anything shiny she decides is suitable. She is the best. Green is definitely her favourite colour.

I found Pumpkin on the road near home. She had a sore foot and avian pox. I didn’t think she would make it! Now she owns my flat and has a vet and is the most perfect angel poop machine!
