Best bars to become a regular in North Portland?

I’m (26F) moving to Portland soon from another city. I’m not really a big bar hopper, but in my current city I have a staple beer/burger bar that I’m a regular at.

I’m mostly looking for a place that still has people around during the day, gets busy at night, and isn’t too expensive. Definitely looking more for beers than cocktails, and friendly/social people.

For reference, I think around the East Columbia district from looking at neighborhood maps. Would prefer anywhere walking distance to about a 10-minute drive!

EDIT: The way y’all are describing E Columbia makes me feel like maybe I got the neighborhood wrong lol. When I went to visit my new place, there were a bunch of cute places nearby. We ate at Salt & Straw and saw a Hot Yoga studio nearby!!

Where does one find a gigantic quesadilla, that certainly could be two meals, but you’ll eat it in one meal cause it’s so delicious?

Help

I am looking for a dog friendly spot that has reasonably priced mocktails (especially mojitos). I live in buckman so a place around there or inner SE would be nice but we are also willing to drive elsewhere if the spot is tight ! Thanks in advance for your input ! And also especially A place with unique/old school portland/ fun/ quirky vibes

Edit: spelling

I tend to drive down the to Bay Area from Portland about once a year, spend a week or so there, then circle back up through Napa and then Redwoods. This has been a recurring thing for me since roughly 2006.

As such, I’ve done all the big downtown touristy things multiple times, especially along the waterfront. I’ve seen the changes, I had a painting from the woman in her wheelchair, I’ve ridden the trolley, rented a bike to cross the bridge, ate at Treasure Island before it closed, and gotten sick of ice cream at Ghirardelli Square.

I’m looking for suggestions of other touristy items to do. Stuff that might not be on a Top Ten Travel list. Maybe some places an hour or so away like the Winchester House?

I can't afford to get a hot meal often and am very happy to see H-Mart discounting their goods like this.

Would love to know of any other places that do this as I can't recall any grocery doing the same, or at least not at the same discount.

A couple coworkers and I were debating what the nastiest bar/restaurant bathroom in Portland is. While Yamhill Pub seems to be the go-to response, I thought the greater population may have a better perspective on this very important subject matter, and as someone with a genuine fear of nasty bathrooms, I’d love to have a list of places to avoid (at least for bathroom purposes).

Ever since I upgraded to a beefy enough third miner and have started occasionally mining blocks, notifications for MinerWars rounds with multipliers have been severely delayed.

I'll see the notification for everything between x8-x32 immediately go into the app, only to find the multiplier is actually only x1 or maybe x2. The timer on the round is usually under a minute, so I'm seeing it pretty quickly. AND, I can get in x4 all the time with no problems.

Anyone else seeing this?

It’s my Birthday and ALL I WANT is chicken fried steak, cream gravy, mashed potatoes, something green and buttered rolls like they have IN TEXAS. Adding: Dinner, On the Menu at All Times, & Pounded.
