Er zou een pumptrackbaan komen in Zwolle Zuid, maar er zijn al sinds begin dit jaar geen updates meer over geweest op de site van de initiatiefnemers en op instagram. Het laatste nieuws was dat de gemeenteraad op 19 januari had ingestemd met het ittersumerpark als locatie maar daarna is het stil. Ik heb een reactie geplaatst op hun laatste post op insta maar daar reageren ze niet op. Weet iemand toevallig iets over de status van dit project?

Okay so don't get me wrong, I love this show, this season was actually my favourite of the three and it really made me love Lestat as a character, but there's this vibe I got from this season and I need to know if it's just me because I'm very bad at articulating my opinions about media past vibes basically lol. So the vibe I'm getting is that the writers kind of "favour" Lestat, or that they're holding him to a different standard or however you want to call it. It feels to me like they constantly try to frame Lestat as this tragic antihero that was traumatised and now has to learn to love himself, and Louis as the one that has to take responsibility for what he's done and grow as a person and constantly apologise for everything. Now like I said I'm not good at talking about media in a detailed way and so this is kinda hyperbolic, and it's not like I think Louis doesn't have anything to apologise for or that Lestat isn't tragic or anything, it's just that I think the writers are constantly/excessively framing things this way to the point where it seems like they're letting their own personal opinions/biases shine through on a meta level instead of through the characters/writing themselves. Like they're writing Lestat a certain way because they prefer him instead of preferring him because they're writing him a certain way? I hope that makes sense, I'm really struggling to articulate exactly what I'm getting at.

I really hope I'm not alone in this and I truly don't mean to start shit or anything, just looking for discussion and people's thoughts. I'm not a fangirl and I'm not especially invested in any character or ship, I just love this show because I love vampires and because it's so good, and this kinda broke my immersion a bit because it feels so meta to me.

Hoi allen, ik ben een vrouw van 30 en ik ben mijn hele leven mollig tot morbide obees geweest, en ik was eigenlijk altijd het lelijke eendje. Ik heb me nooit echt sexy gevoeld. Ik zit nu al een aantal jaar op een gezond gewicht maar ik voel me nog steeds niet aantrekkelijk. Soms zie ik mensen die net zoveel zijn afgevallen als ik (~45 kg) waarbij je het eigenlijk bijna niet ziet, maar ik heb op de een of andere manier de genen waardoor ik letterlijk overal overtollige huid heb, behalve op mijn handen en voeten en de bovenste helft van mijn hoofd (niet overdreven). Gewoon dikke pech.

Zeker in de zomer merk en zie ik het gewoon continu. Ik kan geen t-shirts dragen zonder dat je mijn kipfiletarmen ziet, mijn knieën zien eruit alsof ze gesmolten zijn, en mijn buik is een soort schort.

Ik zou graag dmv een operatie de overtollige huid laten weghalen, maar helaas zit ik in de wajong en kan ik dat echt niet betalen. Alleen een buikwandcorrectie kost al €5000 of meer, laat staan een heel lichaam. Verzekeringen vergoeden het alleen als het zo erg is dat je er smetwonden van krijgt. Ik heb overal gezocht naar manieren om het te financieren, maar geen enkele instantie verstrekt leningen aan mensen met een uitkering. Ik zou kunnen sparen maar dat zou jaren duren en ik moet eerlijk bekennen dat ik daar erg slecht in ben (en daar neem ik ook alle verantwoordelijkheid voor).

Het is gewoon zo rot om voor altijd getekend te zijn door je verleden op deze manier, alsof het universum zegt "ja jammer dat je ontzettend hard gewerkt hebt om zoveel af te vallen, had je maar nooit dik moeten worden". Ik weet dat ik alsnog de gezondheidsvoordelen ervan heb en dat ik er beter uitzie dan toen ik 110+ kilo woog, maar het voelt gewoon zo naar om nooit een "normaal" lichaam te kunnen hebben :( ik wil gewoon zo graag gewoon een leuke bikini kunnen dragen zonder dat ik me schaam...

(Ik heb het getagd als "gewoon een rant" maar als iemand toch denkt de gouden tip te hebben om een operatie te financieren hoor ik het graag... Ik verwacht alleen niet dat die bestaat dus is het vooral bedoeld als rant)

It may seem like an inconsequential detail but I'm really into vampires/vampire lore so I'm just curious how this works and if I've missed something, because it doesn't make sense to me how Simon can be Heidi's sire. Imo there's two possibilities: either Heidi got Simon's blood in her system while they were together in the bleeder den, or Raphael gave her Simon's blood because he wanted a guinea pig.

The first seems like a stretch to me because you wouldn't just ingest someone's blood by accident (unless she did it on purpose? She did want to be a vampire after all...) I know that in the books >!it only takes a tiny bit of vampire blood to turn because Simon gets turned by biting Raphael's arm as a rat,!< but still... She would have had to actually bite or scratch him enough to break skin. Although Heidi does say to Simon in ep 03x06 that "they both got a little carried away that night" and that "she died with his blood on her lips", inplying that it did happen that way, but maybe that's just what Raphael told her or what she chooses to tell herself/falsely remembers?

The second seems more likely because Heidi and Raphael have a conversation on the rooftop that explicitly states that she would have been dead if not for Raphael, and if she had ingested Simon's blood on her own then she would have turned after her funeral anyway right (unless she got cremated...) (edit: I just remembered something about having to be buried the same day you die to turn into a vampire so I guess that's a no because funerals are often days later) but then I'm wondering, when did Raphael give Heidi Simon's blood, and where did he get it? It seems unlikely to me that he gave it to her before she died, (although again there's that line about dying with his blood on her lips) because when in the time that Simon and Quinn fed from her and Quinn killed her would he have done that? And as far as I know, you cannot retroactively turn someone who is brain dead into a vampire by injecting vampire blood into their corpse...

Again I know it doesn't matter at all but this stuff is my bread and butter and I just cannot get it to make sense in my head, so I hope there's someone reading this who's as big of a nerd about this stuff as I am lol. Also I love Simon <3 truly the character of all time

I must have been around 7/8 when I watched this on VHS so that would have been around 2002/2003. I am Dutch so it must have been either a Dutch dub or it was a Dutch movie to begin with but I don't think so because I probably would have found it then. I remember the movie being very magical and beautiful looking (at least to my child brain)

The details I am most sure about are that it was live action, that the kids went to a magical realm with fairies or elves, and that they flew on a bee because of their lack of wings. I don't really remember anything about the plot.

Hi, so I'm a beginner and I really want to try out the pump track near me. I have two sets of inlines: a pair of aggressive skates (4x60) and a pair of roller blades (4x90).

Am I right in thinking that the aggressive skates will not be a good fit for a pump track due to the small wheels?

I think the roller blades might do the trick but one of them has a heel brake that I can't remove (I don't have a shorter axle and I can't seem to get the current one out for some reason, it just stays put no matter how long I turn it).

I don't even know if it's a possibility but I'm scared that the brake will catch on the concrete while taking turns/going over bumps and cause me to fall. Is that a thing?

Am I better off getting a pair of 4x80 freestyle skates, or will one of the pairs I have now suffice? I'm probably overthinking this a lot knowing me but I wanna set myself up for success before trying the track and getting discouraged from not having the right skates for the job.

Ps. I hope this is the right sub, I went with this one over r/ rollerblading or another sub because skating a pump track seemed more adjacent to aggressive skating in a skate park than roller blading in a straight line to me
