Cursed Child on Broadway stated that Friday Forty lottery winners will be notified between 1pm and 5pm (current page and Wayback Machine archive). However, TodayTix app, the show's lottery partner, actually start sending out notification at 9 am instead without only 1 hour to claim and caused people to miss their lottery win if they rely on information from the official website. 

When I fell victim to this problem in March, I emailed both the show / ATG and TodayTix to complain about the error and ask for another chance to claim the lottery. They only agreed to flag the issue internally and claimed that the actual notification window from 9am to 5pm is included in every lottery entry confirmation email from TodayTix (also incorrect). They also refused to do anything about my missed lottery win because it would be "unfair". Well it definitely was not fair for me either. I was this close to file a complaint about them to any relevant regulatory agencies I can find but decided against it for my peace, trusting that they will at least fix the website for future lottery entrants.

Now two months later they still haven't fixed the website and another person fell victim to the same issue again so I want to post this to warn other people. Hopefully some creators or trade pubs can bring attention to this problem so that the show / ATG will actually fix this for other people.

I have an extra physical ticket for anyone who wants to see the show this evening if you can meet me at the venue around 4:45pm. I plan to arrive just before they get on so with doors at 3 the band will likely get on at 5.
