I've been looking for a good Hawaiian shirt and I was blessed.
Like I said, I've been looking for a while and I've found it next to impossible to find one for a man with a slender build. I was out hunting at my local shops when I was blessed, $3 AUD. Hand made in Hawaii. Also my cat.
[Homemade] First pizzas made in our new cast iron pan
We had a 3 day cold fermented dough and a bunch of leftover ingredients so we decided to go a little wild. The first (my partners) is a cheesy garlic bechamel base topped with thinly sliced potatoes, low moisture mozzarella, mushrooms, broccoli, feta and lemon juice. The second (mine) is a garlic tomato base topped with low moisture mozzarella, black olives, capers, anchovies and parmesan. Both were excellent but I do think I need to roll the dough thinner next time, I used to make an amazing stone bake style pizza before my stone exploded but this was quite different. Picture 4 is an example of one I made on my stone consisting of a garlic tomato sauce, low moisture mozzarella, black olives, kalamata olives, mushrooms, capers and artichoke hearts.
I finally found a decent guitar
It's been a dream of mine to find a good guitar in a charity shop/thrift store and my dream finally came true. I paid $55 AUD (~£29, ~€34, ~$ 39 USD) for this Yamaha FG-160 which was made somewhere between 1971 and 1976. From what I've found online, they can fetch a decent amount in a good condition, this one's a little beat up and not for sale however as it sounds incredible. It was clearly well used before I got it but it's in really good shape considering. It has good action and keeps tune. It's missing a couple original parts but I'll restore them over time I think.
B&L Aviators from around WW2
My partner thinks they suit me but I think that I look like the leader of a cult that's going to end in mass suicide, I can imagine seeing the last photo in a news paper in my grandparents attic. Still, I'm so glad I got them. They cost me $100AUD (~£53, ~€61,~$71USD) including the case.
Pro tip: find a partner who is a similar size to you then show them the coats that they'll love but will fit you both.
Just ordered my first pair, they arrive in 2 weeks
Found a pretty crazy deal on a pair of these Ariat Futurity Time in my size for $225 AUD (around $162 USD) with delivery. I'm pretty stoked, it's been a long search looking for a pair that I liked in Australia. I really wanted the Ariat Renegade Mahogany/Crema but with the import costs it's just not feasible to get them in Australia.
I've never seen it so have no idea what they're talking about. I'm going to go watch it after I post this.
Edit: Oh, I get it now lmao. I was even wearing white converse 🤣
I'm looking at making a music video in which someone is running through city streets but focused on their face. I can't really afford a real one right now but I could buy supplies and make it myself (Nothing original but it's paying work 😆). My current plan is to try to find one of those reinforced hiking backpacks second hand and cut it down then attach a cheap, lightweight tripod to it or something.
But I was just hoping to see if anyone had made something similar themselves. I'd love to see photos or designs for it others have made.
Thanks.
