Probably wasting my time, but I guess I'll ask

Is it me, or does it seem like a lot of these posts that claim to be "word of mouth" promoting certain series are just shilling to sell subscriptions to the streaming service? For example, when Game of Thrones was hot, it was all over mainstream media, but now I see certain series that are only praised on subreddits like this one, and they usually praise the streaming service in the same post, but I never see anything regarding the series off Reddit.

What's in macro lagers that cause a mild reaction?

Bud, Miller, Coors, Amstel Ultra, basically all the big lager brands in the U.S. give me symptoms like my pollen/particulate allergies. Heavier beers, like stouts, don't. Is there an ingredient or additive or process that can explain this? Hard alcohols like tequila or bourbon don't cause it either. Any ideas?

Am I being too picky?

I've decided to buy a 2025 Ioniq 5 XRT in the U.S,. I've decided on the 2025, because I've read that there are a lot of upgrades from 2024, like a rear window washer. I've decided on the XRT because it has high ground clearance. I'm 6'3 so I need leg room. I'm horrible at shopping for vehicles, so I'm probably missing some Ioniqs that satisfy these requirements. Anybody want to school me?

Edit: Is there any point in looking at Used, as opposed to Certified?

Tried to buy a Go2 Pro with controller

Went to the Unitree site, tried to buy. It kept kicking back my billing address. It was correct. Same one I've used a thousand times. I even went to the credit card company to check that there are no errors. Their chat function did not respond. Is there a place I can go in the U.S., plunk down cash, and walk out with a robot? Seriously, though, in the 21st century, am I supposed to trust their technology when they can't even take my money? I'd appreciate any input anyone can offer. Thank you.

Can the ioniq 5 be charged on household 110/120?

Yes, I understand it would be super-slow, but is it easily done in case of emergency?

Edit, since people are being very helpful: I'm not buying new, but I have a dedicated outlet on my whole-house battery/ solar that does 220 specifically for an EV. I really was asking for emergency situations because I'm in Mexico, and it's easy to imagine worst-case scenarios.

Where in the world?

Is there a place in the world, due to advancements in medical science, climate differences, maybe even less automobile use, where a person can go for relief from particulate and grass pollen allergies? I'm not interested in going to the United States of America or Antarctica at this time, but I'm open to just about anywhere else. I'm on the coast of Baja California at this time. Thank you for your responses.

Weird question about a lien

I've decided to buy an Ioniq 5 XRT. I've found one for a decent price, but Carfax says it has a lien from Hyundai Motor Finance Co. It has been on the market for an unusually long time. This is the only red flag I can see. Does this mean anything to anybody? Thank you.

Question regarding training Unitree Go2

Can a Unitree Go2 Pro (with controller) be trained to go through a 10-inch-wide by 18-inch-high dog door with flap by a first-time robot owner? The bottom of the door is 10.5 inches above the floor. I realize it can't go through horizontally or vertically, but can it be trained to go through diagonally?

New member, serious question about robot dogs

My old dog died a few days ago. Her lifetime partner, also old for the breed, is depressed, doing unusual things like laying where she used to poop. I'm also pretty old, and I won't get another dog that could possibly outlive me. I'm seriously considering getting a robot dog to keep my living dog, Juko, interested in life. My requirements are pretty simple. I need a dog that can walk 3-5 miles a day on the beach (sandy, possible sudden waves). It should be able to follow me or my dog around sort of randomly and maybe make a noise when Juko does. My budget would be about $4,000 U.S., but I could go a bit higher. I apologize if this is an inappropriate post for this Subreddit, but web searches don't produce credible results. I'd appreciate any guidance anyone can offer me. I'm in Mexico, but could easily travel to the U.S.

Why aren't more 2024 Engage+ hitting the market?

I keep watching, expecting leases ending and trade-ins, but I just don't see much action. Anybody have any ideas?

Encontré una billetera

This probably won't help much, but I'll give it a shot. On Sunday, I found a wallet in the sea, near Punta Banda. It belongs to a man who lives in Valle Dorado. His name is RVH. I used the phone number on his licencia de conducir to try to contact him on WhatsApp, but I didn't get a response. If anyone knows him, could you please ask him to check his WhatsApp messages? [Gracias Redditors! I love it when a plan comes together! He has his things.]

11-year-old Beaceron. I went to vet for a wound treatment and vet assistant damaged her shoulder trying to roll her over on table

Cece, 90 pound neutered female, was limping on her right front foot after she got a cut on her back foot. I suspected there might be something inside the wound. The vet did a cursory exam, no X-ray, just a quick decision exploratory surgery was the way to go. While she was on the table, the assistant tried to roll her onto her other side by pulling her top front leg away from her body instead of pulling her down leg toward her body. My guess is he pulled or tore a muscle in her shoulder and now she can barely put weight on it. I'm going to take her to a different vet, but I'm concerned about driving her there until she can safely stand in my moving vehicle. It has been 8 days since her shoulder injury, and she's been taking 100 mgs Rimadyl with food once a day. My question is, am I doing the right thing by waiting? How long does a shoulder injury take to heal? Her initial wound is almost healed, although there is still inflammation, but no signs of infection. I'm in Mexico about 15 miles from the new vet.

My 11-year-old Beauceron injured her left rear foot probably 3 weeks ago. I gave her the usual care, keeping it clean and using antiseptic. She started favoring her front left foot, but there's nothing obvious going on, no signs of pain when probed. I took her to a second vet yesterday, who prescribed antiinflammatories, basically the same prescription. Today, she's favoring her front right foot. I'm fearing the worst, maybe strokes. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
