Going all in on a 11 Pro XL 512Gb and a Pixel Watch 5

Hey all - you may have seen me replying in this sub to other posts, but I think this deserves my own.

I'm going all in on the Pixel; I'm trading in my S26 Ultra for it. Why? I'm a tech enthusiast. I've only ever used either Samsung Ultra phones or iPhone Pro Max.

It's easy for me to sit here and give my opinion based on a few benchmarks and youtube videos, but nothing will replace actually using one for myself.

I've also picked up a pixel watch 5 45mm. they offered to take $250 off so i thought sure.

I'm going to put it through my own gauntlet of tests too. I do a ton of video and photo editing on my phone for socials so I'm genuinely curious to see how the new Tensor G6 stacks up in true day to day tasks. I'm not worried about it's reliability in normal things like browsing apps, youtube, etc.

And admittedly, it's going to be nice to use my current iphone magsafe accessories without the S26 Ultra's camera bump getting in the way haha

Can't wait to get my hands on it! should be here in about a week and a half.

Increased sensitivity to caffeine?

Hey all! Hope everyone is well.

Long story short, had a pulsed field ablation 2 months ago with zero episodes so far in blanking period.

But I have noticed that my huge increase in my sensitivity to caffeine.

I used to drink 3-4 cups of coffee a day no issue. But now if I have a normal cup of coffee with around 150mg of caffeine, it makes my heart race, and that sends me into some anxiety because I don't want it to trigger my afib.

I can have smaller cans of red bull (88mg of caffeine) and they don't give me an issue at all.

I guess it's just having that much all at once?

Anyone else experience this at all?

Anyone else having Siri issues on the Series 9?

I know it's not the latest and greatest, but the new Siri on this thing just seems ridiculously slow.

Anyone else having similar issues?

How to turn off this menu?

Hello everyone! This setting got enabled when I transferred my stuff from my S25U to my S26U, and i can't for the life of me remember how to turn it off.

To access it, I swipe from the left and hold it there for a few milliseconds and it pops up.

Could the newest A7iv firmware break compatibility with lenses?

Hey everyone! New to the sub but I want to see if anyone else has had this issue. I have a Samyang 24 1.8 that never leaves my A7iv - it's legitimately my 'run and gun and all around favorite lens I own.

I noticed when I updated my a7iv body firmware to 6.01, the lens's AF was a little slower. But since I mainly use it for my YT channel, I figured as long as it worked it was fine. Then I updated to the newest 6.02 firmware.....and now I can't use it at all.

No matter what I try, even setting my A7iv back to factory settings, the Samyang lens will ONLY back focus in video mode. Even with the AF box in my face all blurry, it stays locked on what's behind me.

It WILL focus on my face if I half press teh shutter button force it to focus but as soon as I let it go, it slowly starts to back focus again.

It's so odd, because the lens seems to work as normal in Photo mode. just seems like video is a no go.
