Wait, Arthur’s only like 30 years old?

I’ve honestly been imagining like a seasoned veteran this whole time even though early 30s makes total sense.

S4 spoilers ahead, but I just got to the episode where it comes up that he was too young to fight in WW1 so let’s just say he was 17 by the time the war ended. That’d make him like 33 by the start of the show? Idk, I’ve been imagining like a mid 40s guy this whole time.

Also I just saw some official art of him and gotta say, didn’t imagine him as a brunet either. Basically I’ve just been picturing John Constantine this whole time lol

Brand new range hood shat out, warranty won’t cover it

Just moved into a house that has had the kitchen renovated for the selling process, they installed a brand new range hood. Literally the cheapest one on the market, it shat out the first time I tried to use it.

Started with the second setting which was really loud so I switched to the first which just kinda sputtered out and clicked off. Second setting won’t turn on at all either.

The highest setting was working for about a week before it also just sputtered and clicked off. The light switch still works just fine

I’m assuming a switch board or electrical issue? Full disclosure I am by no means a handy person in any sense, but I also don’t wanna pay for someone to fix it when that’ll probably cost more than the actual unit and can’t afford to replace it just yet.

Thoughts on the problem and if it could be diy’ed? Or am I sol and just have to bite the bullet on either repairing or replacing the thing?

Y’all are too harsh on First Person Shooter

Is it cheesy, cringy, stupid and very much a product of its time? Yes. Did it have the most ham fisted “girl vs boys” moronic rhetoric I’ve ever seen in this show? Also yes.

Do I still enjoy it just because of this scene alone when Mulder does a fruity little wave to Scully when asked “What kind of moron gets his yayas out like that?” Yes.

But seriously, I like seeing Mulder have fun and be a bit silly. I think if you go in with the right mindset for this episode, it’s pretty fun. Stupid af and makes absolutely zero sense, but fun

Also if someone has or can make a gif of Mulder doing the stupid wave, I’d love you forever

Mattress topper for memory foam mattress?

We got a memory foam mattress for the guest bed, some guests seem to love it and others absolutely hate it so I want to get a topper to offer as an option. It is a very firm mattress, which I personally also like, but I can see why some would find it uncomfortable.

From my brief research, it seems a lot of mattress toppers are also memory foam or some kind of combo which is what we’re trying to get away from. Would a down feather topper be effective?

I love how my hair looks/behaves right after I dye it, how can I get it to feel like that every day

I dye my hair every 4 weeks or so to cover up white hair and just generally darken it a bit and I *love* how it looks and feels right after. Just normal box dye from the store and every 6 months or so I’ll go into the salon to get it done professionally.

It has more weight to it, it has more texture but not frizziness. In general I can just do more hairstyles and it actually looks good. But this only lasts for a few days to maybe a week. By the time my roots are grown in and it’s time to dye them again, my hair is just idk limp. It’s smooth, but very wispy and just lifeless. I don’t wanna dye my hair every week, there’s no need to do it that frequently and I’m already afraid of damage to it from dying it for as long as I have, so what other products can I use to imitate whatever the hair dye does to it?

Currently my hair care routine is very simple. I just wash and condition it every 2-3 days (sulfate free shampoo and with tepid water), towel/air dry it and use a wide tooth comb to detangle it while it’s still a little wet
