I’m in town for a work trip, and am staying near PIKE PLACE MARKET. Looking for a decent place to grab an early dinner that is solo diner friendly (good bar seating or small tables, etc) but is still cozy or has some ambiance. Even better if they have a good happy hour. I like all types of foods, but especially Thai, Sushi, or good pub food. I appreciate the advice!
Spotted this creature while I was walking the docks in Friday Harbor, WA. There were many shrimp crawling along the pier posts, but these two stood out as a different species. I tried posting a pretty terrible screen grab on iNaturalist and it came back with an ID of decorator crab. This looks a bit different to me comparing to other photos of that species, so thought I would post my not great video here and see if anyone knew who they were. Thanks for looking!
PSA for those who shop at the Safeway on Center, I bought one of the mini watermelons yesterday and woke up this morning to a sputtering leaky mess. I didn’t know this was a thing, but I guess exploding watermelons were a problem a couple years ago. It’s caused by a build up of fermentation gasses. So, just keep an eye on your watermelons if shopping at this Safeway, and should go without saying, but don’t eat a melon exhibiting this behavior. I posted a video below so you can see what I’m talking about.
I’m in Dallas for work this week, and will be celebrating my birthday on Wednesday. Looking forward to a nice place to have cocktails and dinner with my two co-workers. I love Asian food (Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, etc), looking for chill/cozy vibes, and am staying at the Westin downtown and prefer something walkable. I appreciate any suggestions!

First of all, thank you to those who posted about Understance. I had not heard of this brand, and would have missed their GOOB sale. I placed my order on 3/23/2026, and they arrived yesterday.
I ordered 13 bras (I had to stock up!), choosing a size calculated from the abrathatfits calculator, 34J. This was kind of a risk since we can’t return anything and I had never worn their bras before, but hallelujah, all the bras fit beautifully!
I did order one bra in 32K just to see, and the band is too tight (their sports bras are less forgiving than the regular bras, which they should be). I’m going to save it incase I lose a bit of weight, or might donate it.
I am now very sad this brand is not going to be around after July, but hopefully my purchase will get me through a couple years. I went to their website just to see what’s still available, and they have very limited sizes left.
