Used CAA for ITIN and IRS wants passport

I'm a US Citizen and wife is in Vietnam. We applied for an ITIN for her when I was there. Sent all her documents and our joint tax return to the CAA so they could process it and send to the IRS.

I got a request for information letter today from the IRS saying they need the original passport or a certified copy from the issuing agent. We sent the CAA in her country her passport and they had it for a month. Why is this necessary? What do I do next? I'm back in the USA, so I don't have her passport. I thought the whole point of paying big bucks to the CAA was so they would handle all of this?

It's the job of the CAA to handle the passport portion and now the letter says they need the passport and said to send it when it already was handled.

IC Ambassador for Asia?

I have an upcoming trip for 4 nights in Singapore and 4 nights in Kuala Lumpur at the Intercontinental. I am Platinum Elite because of credit card status. Should I pay the $225 for the IC Ambassador prior to the trip?

If it makes a difference, I bought points with the 100 percent match, then got my fourth night free. It was way cheaper than paying cash. It typically is, so I rarely would pay cash for a IHG hotel, let alone an IC hotel to be eligible for the free weekend reward. I suppose I should just not renew the IC Ambassador once I take this trip? This is all assuming 8 nights at an IC would even be worth spending the $225 for IC Ambassador in the first place?

Check why DDNS isn't working?

Is there a command I can run on my UCG Fiber to see why my Dynamic DNS is failing? I get the error, "Failed to get Dynamic DNS settings". It fails with no-ip and DuckDNS. My other clients I use connect to these right away, so it's something with the UCG Fiber that is not allowing the connection. I've tried multiple settings and have been working on this for hours. There's simply no reason it should not be working.

SFP to router or daisy chain switches?

Right now I have a Netgear R7000 running Fresh Tomato with 1Gbps Fiber internet. I have a Netgear JGS524 unmanaged 24 port switch with my APs plugged into, TVs, etc. I have a Netgear GS316EP managed 16 port switch that I use for my 13 cameras around my house and camera NVR. The 16 port switch is plugged into the 24 port switch, and the 24 port switch is plugged into the router, for a daisy chain setup. My thought is that if I'm viewing any camera data, nothing is going through the router.

I am getting a Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Fiber to replace the R7000. Should I: 1. keep the daisy chain setup, or 2. should I plug the 16 port switch into the SFP port and the 24 port switch into the LAN port on the Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Fiber, or 3. Do a reverse daisy chain of what I have now? Meaning the 24 port switch will plug into the 16 port switch, and then the 16 port switch will use SFP to plug into the Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Fiber?

What sneaker from 2003?

Around 2002 or 2003, I believe they came in two color options, blue or black. They were glossy shiny sneakers. The entire sneaker was the same. It's possible they were Air Jordan but I'm pretty sure they were Nike. I couldn't find any pictures of anything close. Any ideas?

Same SSID but turn off bands for certain APs?

Let's say I have three U7 Outdoor Pros. Can I have my SSID named as "Hello" on two of the APs, and have them only broadcast 5GHz and 6GHz, but have the third AP broadcast the same SSID of "Hello" with 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz?

I'm using the controller installed on my computer to configure them. I have groups set up for the different SSIDs, but didn't know if I could create another duplicate SSID for only that one AP, and have it seamlessly change bands as I intend. The lone AP will be for the longest area in my yard, so if it's out of range of 6GHz, it will go to 5GHz, then 2.4GHz.

GPS is blank after update. Telematics replaced.

I had my telematics module replaced in my 2025 and it solved the GPS thinking I was a few miles away and the offline issues. Now a few months later, I just did a software update and my GPS is blank. It just shows a grey map and lets me search, but no options come up and it won't let me voice search or type. Ideas?

Add antenna to U7 Outdoor?

I think the two antennas that the U7 Outdoor come with are 4dBm. I'm in the USA and my current EIRP is 36dBm.

If I set the U7 Outdoor to external antenna, can I add a 10dBm omni directional antenna on the left side antenna hookup and then a 15dBM patch directional antenna on the right side antenna hookup?

I have the U7 Outdoor on my garage but I want a better signal on the side of my garage, that's why I'd want a setup like this. The 15 dBm patch antenna has a 10 foot cord, so I can run it on the other side of my garage.

PEF Vision - calendar year or exactly two years?

Is the PEF Vision plan good for new glasses exactly two years to the date of the last pair, or is it just two calendar years later like CSEA (ie. If I got them December 2024, I could get them now)?
